I have being experiencing issues with GOTV channels since yesterday Sunday 30/10/2016.
I have being getting only 14 channels. I have reset/restart over and over again. My antenna is also high. what could be the problem
Is anyone also experiencing the same?
Please share so that I can also have solution to mine.

I got 14 at first last night and I rescanned and got 54....

I hope dey want to add more channels though

you guessed right GOTV has added new channels bringing the total to 59 as against the 58 channels. New channels includes EVA+ Channel 13, AFRICAN MAGIC IGBO channel 11... Some channels were also removed.
Albeit they ought to inform their subscribers each time they want to upgrade their system and the duration the system might experience malfunctions just like we just experienced.
So that one will not be worried thinking the the antenna, adaptor or any of the hardware is misplaced or malfunctioning.
GOTV PLEASE TAKE NOTE.

Okay Thank very much. The channels on it as it's unsubscribe now is not up 30, would they add it when it's subscribed and none of them is showing, including the demo channel. This is a new Decoder.

Later after hours of the day, it automatically ran an unsuccessful software maybe due to power off and on. Each time i on it nw, after booting it will go to software upgrading and the thing is not moving at all.

When you subscribe for any package it automatically upgrade into the package you want.


Generally an upgrading is going on which was the reason I opened this thread but its okay now.
But if you are still experiencing the same issue, check to make sure that the antennae is high enough and facing the right direction.

The Signal Strength is around 50 to 70 and Signal quality is not up to 100, I know this is because the antenna is not place on the appropriate height level due to it's short cable wire. I'm planning to get like 2yards of cable wire, cut and join it together with the one that came with the decoder in-order to place it to a higher level that i want to place it to. My question now is; would it still work if i join another cable wire?

In other to avoid any doubt I would advise that you buy the whole exact cable to fix. This will remove any doubt emanating from that area from your mind.
How ever if you cannot go for the whole seek the advise of a GOTV Technician or alternatives.
From experience professional touch removes double expense.

Gotv get hullabaloo, I'm trying to activate the thing but it has not been through. I tried SMS way several times my credit card was deducted, I tried the online way, still the same story, fail is what's bringing on. Maybe I must pay/subscribe into the IUC number before it can be done, I don't knw.

Pay through any GOTV agent around you for now. Then you can sort the online payment later. As for the deductions locate the major agent around you then it will be fixed. Try to pay a day or so before expiry to avoid delay. Good luck

Check your antenna. It requires a specific height.

Why is my decoder not getting the full channels? Some channel are not showing, I have scanned it several times but still the same thing, I'm on the full package. what caused that and what's the way out?

Yea, I mounted it at the center egde of my sheet roof. Same as it's demonstrated by the animation guy on the demo channel. I used to see the full channels until yesterday that the hullabaloo started.

mine too o, was working fine but started misbehaving on Tuesday ooo, I've rescanned and done every tin still showing just 24 channels and I am on gotv plus
