Ngozi123: You're the most ignorant entity I have seen on Nairaland. Do you think Acehood saw the dressing in his dream? He probably read about Sango and Yoruba mythology, and instead of dressing in Thor or Superman, he decided to dress in an African god showing African rich culture. Just for your ignorant doltish brain to know, Halloween is celebrated here to show off custom you like and feel happy. Additional material for you blind bat to read. Go to google and search for Kwanzaa. Many black Americans are awakened to their root and they celebrate it every single day |

slurryeye: Lmao. L-M-A-O. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway, I'm in a good mood so I won't insult you today. Goodnight. Btw, my point still stands about it being an insult to the ancient Yoruba religion. I have no problem with Black Americans discovering their 'roots' but I do have a problem with people, black or otherwise, making jest out of African culture. It's not something that you play with. |

Ngozi123: Can you see why I was a lil hard on you? You seem intelligent but you easily jump at incorrect conclusion. Telling me to research on Halloween. I surely knows Halloween means All Hallows evening that likely originated from pagan celtic tradition. But unlike what its origin stand for, people in western world these days celebrate it by wearing their customs and show off their creativity with scary stuff while having fun all the way, while kids go around in the neighborhood trick or treating with the hope of getting candies. You know what?, you can never understand since you haven't been to a western country before ![]() Now to Acehood wearing a Sango custom. Unlike you, he was brought up trick or treating since he was young and believe in Halloween festivity. But instead of wearing a European god custom like Thor, Vulcan or Apollo, we decided to wear a custom of an African god. Now tell me how is that making jest of African culture? |
