Help!! They Credit & Debit Me, Yet Ecobank Don't Have My Details by moscobabs(m): 8:02am On Nov 05, 2016
Ecobank customer cares are most useless set of Staff in Nigeria banking sector ( I stand to be corrected).

I lost my phone contacts last month and I couldn't find my account number on my phone again and I couldn't remember 2 of the middle digits of my Ecobank account .

I wanted to transfer some change into the account on Wednesday and there is no other thing to do than to contact Eco bank customers care for help. I sent them mail and requested for my account number but no call or reply for almost 1hr then I called friend who is a Banker in one of their branches, I was surprised when the guy told me he couldn't find my details in Ecobank!!


6:37pm I received their call , and the caller demanded for my details which I gave him everything offhand, he asked if I do received alert I told him yes,even I receive mail for every transaction then he asked me to send the screenshot to the customer care mail which I did immediately . since then I have not received any other mail from them or even call to update me on the issue.

the following day which is Thursday I went to one of their branches around Ladipo , the customer care agent said the same and she said there nothing she can do to it that even if I go to the branch where I opened the account 5yrs ago.

she made enquiry and she discover that only 2 customers in that bank branch bear one of my names and they are Female , I showed her my emails from Ecobank and all my bank alerts.

Thank God I lost the Account number , if not I wouldn't have known that am not an Ecobank customer.

I sent Watsap message to their Watsap number no response

Ahaaa, I think you need to send your details via their ombudsman on number 01-2260450 or WhatsApp them on 08087603717. Their WhatsApp number always work for me though.

Did a transfer to a client's Ecobank account. I have been debited but the client has not seen the cash.

just send them an email on engcontactcentre@ecobank.com or their Whatsapp number 08087603717 , they will help you sharply.

did you send from the same bank, if not you may need to liaise with your own bank o.

an agent just rectified it today


The lady attended to me from their Watsap. number .

She really tried calling everyday even on Sunday but she succeeded in fixing it and he got the account number for me and apologies for the relay and any invonviennce.

AdaAnambra I suspect you are Ecobank staff

why is it that na today you con dey ask about the update ?
