I am using this medium to call on the rivers state governor, His excellency Barr Nyesom wike over the unpaid salary of nurses employed by the Rivers state ministry of health via the rivers state hospitals management board Portharcourt between February 2014 to September 2015. The government has refused to pay us our salaries, we were duly employed as we have our employment letters and confirmation of appointments. We have been upgraded to grade level 8 conhess 07. We have written as many letters to the management board and ministry health yet what we get are countless unfulfilled promises and numerous numbers of useless meetings. Therefore we call on our governor, Gov nyesom wike to please intervene as the governor himself have interest of nurses in the state and anyone found culpable should be decisively dealt with.

You're not telling us the truth op, the State government can't be owning you for that long except your employment didn't follow due process...civil servants were asked to do biometrics for account verifications and to clear ghost workers after which salaries were paid, though i think he's still owning last month salary.

If indeed this is true, organise a rally among yourselves and match to government house, i guess you will get his attention.

Wike has failed his people again. Upon d allocation from d fg still rivers state government is still owing the nurses salary. This is very bad. Tonye should kindly answer d nurses agitating for their entitlement. Wike come to chop and embezzle d state treasury.
