I always got thinking whenever I'm asked the questions, when did you got born again and how did it happen?

What causes my confusion was

1. Many pastors do give mouth-watering encounter they had, how through a preacher's sermon and divine means they gave their lives to Christ, stating the exact date and what transpires.

2. Though I'm a Christian, truth be told and to be honest, I do find myself often not living up to holy standards then I'll ask for pardon and forgiveness often and often.

So is this question really necessary as anytime a Christian sins he ask for forgiveness, becomes a Christian again, and the circle continues.
