Don't pay more than N6,350 to acquire drivers license - FRSC tells Nigerians

Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, has said that the original Driver’s License (DL) in the country costs N6,350 and can be obtained from any DL office by applicants after a bio-metric capturing.
Oyeyemi while speaking in Abuja on Tuesday at a one-day workshop organized by the commission for members of security agencies in the country on verification procedure of DL and number plates said authentic licenses were produced in all the licensing offices in the country and that the process was very easy to follow.

“Members of the public who give money and passport size photograph to anybody in order to collect driver’s license are doing disservice to themselves.

“Going through third party costs more money and produces fake license to unsuspecting applicants, which is an offence. Cost of original driver’s license is N6,350 and the applicant must go for biometrics at any licensing office across the country to obtain the license.

“This is safer and costs less compared to the ones that pay third party for driver’s license and at the end of the day, they will be apprehended for carrying fake license,” the corps marshal said.

Oyeyemi further warned that anyone found with a fake license would be prosecuted as it is a criminal offence.

No mind them pay 6350 and grow beard. i did mine for 25k, it is so expensive but it was stress free. i did it using a lady in the auto section.

Anything FRSC ask you to pay, just multiply it by 3!! Don't bother yourself asking why.. This is one of the many criminal organization of the government!

In a sane society, Mr Oyeyemi will be arrested/prosecuted for peddling false information to the public! Knowing the real price is a minimum of 17k plus and saying 6,500 is an insult to the general public!

Nigerians are the most gullible people on earth. The government in connivance with the house of rep and senate would force everything down the throat of its citizens. Are we slaves in our own country? Is Nigeria cursed with bad leadership? Is this how we are going to continue?

If you like, pay 1 million naira. You can only get temporary drivers license immediately. Any thing aside is fake drivers licence. If you want to get it at 6,350, register online and print the copy and take it to bank and pay, then go back to FRSC office for capture. You will get your temporary same day.

Without paying anything at frsc office. I would love to see that happen.

I did my drivers licence with just 6,350. I did driving test, eye test and all that without paying anyone same day. But I was invited for capturing after 10months. Why the hurry when you can use your stamped payment papers to drive?

Today I have original drivers licence.

Hmmm I pity u if u follow this man talk..until u reach their office you will hear u need to come with driving school certificate, if u can't provide they will tell u it's obtainable with ur 3,500 and u will also go for VIO test which is 1,500, mind you they will never force you to do it their way but u can make ur choice but the stress of getting driving school certificate and vio test will make u feel that u shu just give them the money.

I paid 16k5 yet na temporary still dey my hand
