A video footage of artillery weapons allegedly bought by the Jonathan’s Administration shortly before the 2015 election and being used by the military in its operation to recapture Boko Haram held territories in the north east Nigeria has emerged. In the Video, the Late. Col. Abu is seen leading the mission and giving directives as to how the weapons should be handled. Some of the weapons as seen in the video are brand new which suggests they were just bought in not too distant time, a claim that indicates the jonathan’s administration indeed bought some weapons for the military in the fight against the Boko haram terrorists. At least, that's an evidence he bought weapons. |

What's the confirmation that those are new artillery? I have visited some artillery brigades and the arsenal I saw there are as good as new because they are not used regularly. Just because they are mounted on transport vehicles does not make them new. That is how they are transported. And they may also be refurbished new Naija style. It's a 2-way thing. Infact, looking at that last tank, that the video concentrated on towards the end of the video, that does not look like a brand new 21st century tank. It looks repainted. And it has some loose aluminium. That is definitely not a brand new tank. |
