5 Most Consumed foods in Nigeria by Revamped(m): 11:36am On Nov 08, 2016 |
The list below is not in any particular order.... It's just for "Discussion purpose" you have the right to add, subtract or disagree...... These are the 5 most popular or most consumed foods in Nigeria - let's have fun.. (1.) JOLLOF RICE This delicious meal is one of the most popular foods in Nigeria. Although it is not synonymous to Nigeria alone but also to other West African countries. Jollof rice is the go to meal at occasions in Nigeria.... - everybody loves JOLLOF RICE. (well, except me tho.) seriously am not a fan. (2.) GARRI Or eba as most people will call it is very popular in Nigeria. This dish made from cassava is something every Nigerian must have had in one way or another. Garri is best served with soup, beans, or just with milk and groundnut. (that depends whether you want to drink it tho.) (3.) INDOMIE NOODLES Hahaha.... the list wouldn't make sense without this type of meal. Indomie, loved by kids, ladies mostly, few guys is another meal that is well known in Nigeria. (.......... Meanwhile........) Some people call it a lazy man’s food because it is prepared in less than 5 minutes. This facts made indomie one of the most popular foods in Nigeria. (4.) AKARA/BREAD/PAP Akara is just a deap fried bean cake. It is filled with protein and is best taken with pap (made from grounded corn). Most people love taking akara with bread. (5.) SUYA Someone might chop my head off if this doesn't make the list...... Suya, hmmmmmmn..... Usually the go-to companion if you want to impress that new chick when coming back from work. Suya is grilled meat done in an open fire. It is done mostly at night by majority of hausa’s and it is served with big chops of onion, cabbage and pepper in a newspaper ============================================= Others that could have graced the list are: *Plantain chips *Dodo *Gala (sausage roll) Etc.........
