12) Never pay taxi driver until you reach your destination. It has happened to me once and it was an embarrassing moment arguing with him.

Very true if its not a recognized cab company. Keep your cash with you to safe yourself some strength arguing endlessly. God safe you, if you don't end up paying double.

No one is praying for collision, but you can't rule that out as a possibility when on the road. The point of wisdom here is, you can reduce chances of heavy impact on you if you go behind.

Am sorry if i did sound like someone from the mountain top. That's definitely not my intension. My primary focus was on audience who uses private cab service. But i would say some of the tips here still apply to shuttle bus and kabukabu. Regards!
