KORO2007: i will put it this way: man supposes, God disposes. negative politics is what candidates like koro are relying on. not even PDP is in support of your candidate. Lets wait and see if PDP even clears your candidate. some things are best kept quiet. Come back in two weeks and lets see what happens within your party. my mouth is sealed. i was at the rally on saturday. colorful, yes, but 3/4 of the crowd was rented from cotonou. i even know the man who mobilizes them. you are deceived if you think PDP has support in Lagos It is easy to sail a ship through calm waters, but to maintain a steady course through stormy seas is the art of a true leader. about Mr. Pedro, the things you have both pointed out, you think his campaign people havent heard? in fact, you are saying the exact things they want you to say. wasting money, no support, rigging, etc. patience is a tree who's root is bitter, but yields sweet fruits. wait and see. |

Pedro knows he will never win this election all he is seeking for is political relevance. |

Don't come up here and start trying to hint things that will never happen. In two weeks lets see what will happen, are we suppose to expect PDP to take away Koro's mandate?? Pure nonsense. Thats the candidate and there is nothing anybody can do about it. You didn't respond to my question about the crowd response to KORO, if ALL those people where from Cotonu, then my HATS OFF to KORO. I knew he was popular, but I didn't know all the way in Cotonu. I disagree with you statement on KORO relying on negative politics. I haven't seen or heard him discredit any candidate. All ive head is him saying he will defeat fashola silly at the poles, and I believe he will. NO Dout about it. |

Let me share one funny story with you. My cousin was at the rally, and he shared with me that KORO was also having a Registration day demonstration in that area. Has his branded buses and vans passed by with the tape Wasiu Ayinde Marshall recorded for KORO, the LP boys wearing Pedro's shirt took off their shirts and started running after the KORO fans singing and dancing along. Whats even funnier is someone had it on tape, I watched it last night, and I couldnt' stop laughing. |

i dont think there's any need for aggresive and verbal onslaught on any of the candidates. i think the candidates have their hands full with that. what is important is as lagosians, we look away from the hype, the candidacy and the size of the party and vote who we think can govern us the best. thats the only way there will be change. i know who i am supporting and i am trying my best not to be biased and not to disclose my vote on this forum. i asked a friend who she was voting for. she said she was voting for fashola. i said why? she said because she sees his picture everywhere and she likes his party. this girl is 19. she is about to go into college. she is voting for someone but she has not a single idea whether or not he can make her life better in the next possibly 8 years. this is ever so common among the people of lagos. forget party politics vote for the candidate you think can make our lives better. look at their track record. ask about these candidates. forget indigine factor forget religion forget party size forget hype forget political base who has managed money? (lagos revenue: 6billion naira a month) who shows humility and constraint? who is educated? who does not have skeleton's in their closet? who has the experience to deal with a state like lagos? who can manage people (workforce is the highest in the country) who can be aggressive when needed. Nigeria is bad not because of its leaders, but because of its people. we make the wrong choices. we choose the wrong people as our leaders. |

when are we going to take charge of our own destiny and exercise our right to vote. Also vote as an educated mind. we only see here and now don't plan for future. last time i voted it was for Bill Clinton, He is a lawyer and a human being first and politician last. See what he did for Americans. My parents are Nigerians i see myself as an Nigerian /American. We need educated and exposed mind. Look at Adrian Fienty the new mayor of washington dc, He is, young , educated and not a politician, But an activist who wants to make a difference and better the life of the poor and less privilege. |
