ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja, Kwara State is looking for a reliable male Maintenance Officer to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the Seminary’s facilities. The Maintenance Officer will be the one to ensure that his colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties accordingly.A great maintenance officer will have a fair understanding of landscaping, plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry, mechanical and other crafts. He should be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting and work-plans. The goal is to ensure the Seminary facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the Seminary’s business operations.

Responsibilities
• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Check electrical, plumbing and fittings of buildings to ensure functionality
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (drivers, gardeners, cleaners, electrical etc.)
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

Requirements
• Proven experience as maintenance officer or other similar role
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical systems etc.
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and Plant (Generating set)
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or NCE Technical or its equivalents
• Not More than 45 years of age as at 31st March, 2017
• Must be a Christian (preferably ECWA member in right standing in Christian faith)
