The Federal Government has so far disbursed a total of N220.5 billion budget support facility to 35 states.
Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar said Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun dropped the hint at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday during the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.
Abubakar disclosed this to State House correspondents after the NEC meeting which was chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The governor quoted Adeosun as telling the NEC that last month, the Federal Government disbursed N1.1 billion budget support loan facility to 35 states.
He said the minister disclosed that this made it a total of N6.3 billion disbursed to each of the 35 benefiting states.
The conditional budget support facility was designed earlier this year to provide financial relief to state governments.

I wish the governors will use the money to embark on developmental projects that will uplift the standard of living in their respective states.

You disburse loans, state governors misappropriate them, civil servants and pensioners protest and groan over unpaid salaries, federal govt disburses more loans to state governments and sends EFCC to harass past governors, governors join APC and keep their loot, cycle continues.

Which way Nigeria? Just restructure this country so every region faces their regional leader in Enugu, Ibadan, Kaduna, PH, Plateau and not one Old man in Aso rock Central Govt..

No they can not. Trust me the money will go into payment of salary to civil servants and pension areas to former government workers
I have always argue that the cost of managing government is too high both at the state and the federal govt level, it should be reduced.

They are disbursing money upandawn and they won't settle ASUU's paltry N128b. Makes me want to believe Buhari doesn't value education. This government self...
