Fans who attended Borussia Dortmund’s 8-4 win against Legia Warsaw certainly got their money’s worth.

The attacking was as good as the defending was bad, and we loved every second of it.

The teams set a record by scoring seven goals in the first half – Dortmund led 5-2 – and they didn’t dry up in the second half.

Those seven goals came in just 22 minutes. It was entertainment at its finest.

Aleksander Prijovic gave Legia the lead in the 10th minute but Dortmund hit back with three goals in three minutes, Shinji Kagawa scoring twice and Nuri Sahin adding another.

GOALS GALORE

Prijovic reduced the deficit before Ousmane Dembele and Marco Reus, making his return from a lengthy injury, made it 5-2.

Reus grabbed his second seven minutes after the restart but Legia refused to go away, Michal Kucharczyk scoring Legia’s third goal.

Teenager Felix Passlack made it 7-3 with nine minutes to go and it was 7-4 when Nemanja Nikolics got on the scoresheet.

Reus got his hat-trick, and concluded the scoring, in the second minute of stoppage time.
