Hello..I am planning to start a printing press that will specialise in the design and printing of banners,fliers,posters,calendars, business,jotters cards,wedding cards,invoice and customisation of Tshirt,mugs,handbags, etcI have been learning graphic design for a while but I lack basic knowledge aboutthe printing aspect.1.please,can you give me the comprehensive list of machine/equipment I need to start it up.??2.which printing machine(s) will you recommend??3.basic pros n cons inrunning d business..4. With that amount, you can't get all the needed machines but I'd advice you get all dz

1. Scanner, printer, photocopier 3in1
2. DI machine
3. ID card machine
4. Laminating machine
5. Spiraling machine as in jotter and calendar
6. Industrial stapler
7. Computer, flash drive
08.. Generator

If u can start with the listed, other machines u gonn need you have to contract out, I mean d likes of Kord, half kord, 201, CTP, etc....





Pros and cons
1. Whatever job you wanna do, ask for manuscript written in client's handwriting, else once thr is a mistake in d job, you'd be the one bearing the loss
2. Before you start mass printing of any job, endeavour to print out a single hard copy for the client to vet. Then you are good

Hello Op, It's a good idea you have a dream to set up a printing press, printing press requires lots of money compared to the budget you have and I would like you to through this my quickie printing press biz set below.

Lets me do the smallest scale set up.

1. A Cheap shop here in Lagos (I don't know if you are in Lagos.) = N7000 x 24(months) = N168,000 + 60,000 Agreement & Commission = N228,000
2. a) If you want to buy 201 machine (the quality of this machine is poor that the demand for it is little) = N250,000
b) If want to buy Kord machine (the quality of this machine is ok) = now N5,000,000 (because of dollar rate)
c) There are lots of machine and high quality, there are machine of N12,000,000, 15,000,000, 22,000,000 (fairly used o) and 300,000,000
(brand new)
