English Premier League is getting hotter every weekend. We are now heading to match day 13 and the drama is expected to continue. The

biggest game of the weekend will be between League Leaders Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspurs. Mauriccio Pochettino side is the only team

unbeaten in the league and that promises to be a showdown of its kind. Today, we have decided to put the league under the microscope to try

and find out who will finish where come next May. Our argument is only an opinion and does not necessarily mean that things will end up the

same. However, it is a well thought out piece and any serious fan needs to take closer look.

We anticipate the top 5 will look like this;

5. Arsenal- 1st time in Europa

Arsenal is 4th in the table with 25 points as we go to the weekend, three points from the top. They have shown resilience and mental strength

so far this season as witnessed in the two big matches against Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain. But is there anything new? Not at

all, they have been starting the league this way for years but they fall apart from December.

This season, the race is tough and I know many Arsenal fans would like to believe it will be different this time round but let us face it, the

whole cycle will repeat itself come February. To lift the title, a team will need to go all the way to the end and Wenger is not in a position to

deliver that. Winter injuries have been getting the Gunners boss unprepared and because he doesn’t like panic buys in January, the team is

unable to withstand the pressure brought about by FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and the League. A fifth place finish will be good for

them given that Spurs and Everton will be breathing hard behind them.

4. Chelsea- 3rd Runners-up

Antonio Conte has done a great job at Stamford Bridge to help Chelsea reach the summit with 28 points after 12 games but the fact that they

have lost the highest number of matches in the top 5 (2), this means they will lose a couple more.

The Blues are enjoying the fact that they are not thinking about Champions League matches this season together with that League Cup

elimination by West Ham. However, the Christmas program will rock their boat especially given their lack of depth in defence. Conte baptism of

fire is still on the horizon too.
