I live in a motown (motorcity) suburb.
I have been dabbling in buying & selling cars now for 9yrs (since late 2000)
It took a while for me to adjust to my fellow countrymen calling every SUV a jeep.
In the States Jeep refers to the Jeep brand- Cherokee, grand Cherokee Laredo,
liberty, commander, wrangler, patriot & compass.
About 2weeks ago I had a customer ask me to help her
get an american spec  Sunny, she explained that she has been driving
a vtech but wants an 03-05 Sunny. Of course it took me a while to
figure out that Sunny is actually Nissan Sentra - worse still I have never
heard of vtech ( I assume from her description that it must be a honda
accord- I am probably wrong )

My point can Nairalanders please explain the terms baby boy, frog face benz etc, etc &
all the other commonly used car slang on this thread, it will be useful if new terms can
also be explained to us jjc on this thread.

2002 accord is called a baby boy 2003 -2007 is called end of discussion, 2008-date is called the god father.

93 Honda Accord is popularly called honda Hala, 97 Accord ( bull dog),98-2002 honda Accord (babyboy). 2003 (end of discussion) 2004 upwards (discussion continues) 2007 upwards (evil spirit,votron etc).

for toyota, 95/96 camry (orobo) 97-99 camry (thin lite,pencil light), 2000/2001 camry (fat lite) 2002-2006 (big for nothin).I guess this will help you a little.
