10. She came to light in 2009 after winning the Peak Talent Show.
She got the notice for her talents after winning the Peak Talent Show back in 2009, she also talked about how her success in the talent show made her gain the moral to pursue her musical career.
“The Peak Talent Show was an invigorating process that gave me the required impetus to truly want to pursue a career in music. I went into the competition as a raw talent who needed an avenue to showcase her talent. The competition more than challenged me to respect my art as a lot of hard work rather than just talent

9. She Refers herself as King
In an interview, she was asked why she titled her album ‘King of Queen, in her words she said
I have been calling myself King Yemi Alade for reasons beyond having blue blood”
The reason: “It is a clarion call to all female artists to know that they have to step out of where they are and compete as a guy would. That’s where the inspiration for the title came from.”

8. She is the Fifth Child In Her Family
Yemi Alade was born into a family of seven with a Yoruba Father James Alade and Igbo mother Helen Uzoma from Abia State. Yemi’s father was a former commissioner of police.

7. She Is Widely Known
Yemi Is known internally also, She has performed and collaborated with local and international artists like Shina Peters, Becca, May D, M.I, Wizkid, Mary J. Blige, Yemi Sax, and Wale. The ‘Johnny’ crooner in 2013 was called to open the edition of the headies award with her majestic performance.

Yemi Graduated as a Geographer. She studied Geography in Univerisity of Lagos, Her primary school was St Saviour British Primary School while her Secondary was Victory Grammar School, Lagos
