GOVERNMENT VIOLATING OUR HUMAN RIGHT.
In 2011 the United Nations(UN) declared that "INTERNET ACCESS IS A HUMAN RIGHT , and that limiting a person access to the Internet is a violation of their human rights under international law".
Nigerian government ordered that data tariff in the country be doubled so as to limit criticism of the government on social media.
Fellow Africa countries like Cape Verde and Uganda have free internet.
The main town squares on all major islands have free wi-fi in Cape Verde.
Also in Uganda, government offers free Internet to Kampala & Entebbe
to surf 'good' websites.
If the government cannot make life better for an average Nigerian ,they should not add more burden on us.
Internet is not luxury, but a necessity.
