My sister,a student, was abducted along with other students. They were kidnapped in their rooms and have been in detention since morning at the ESWAMA office in Enugu, they are being taken to the prison now for committing no crime.

She's been on holiday and just came back to Enugu on Sunday to resume her studies. Now, instead of being in classroom, she's being taken to the prison because the government want to extort money from her.

What a wicked generation!

Has it come to a point where Enugu state government would use thugs to intimidate, molest and kidnap students just to extort money from them?

This is a clear case of oppression and and should not be allowed to continue.

Nigeria is a country where the oppressed jointly protect and fight for their oppressors. A group of innocent students are spending this night in the prison but it doesen't seem to concern anybody because they are nobodys. If it were known criminals like Dasuki, patient Jonathan or Olisa Metuh, all the fake activist would have invaded this thread foaming in their mouths chanting rule of law while other group of oppressed citizens would have been all over the streets of Enugu with placards.

What a coincidence, of the over 3m people in Enugu, ESWAMA randomly picked you sis place of abode breaks in bundles her and straight to prison.

Bros you had better tell the truth so that people can advise you on what to do. You can stick to your story but it wont fly.

She's not the only one, they packed them in a bus, detained them in their office till evenning, threatened them that they were being taken to the prison which eventually turned out to be police station where they extorted N5,500 from her before her release.

I just spoke with her on phone now.

Now you are talking.

You should explain what happened without leaving out anything that is material to the case. So people will know how best to advise you on what to do.

Even if the room is owing N1200 as they claimed, which she's not been notified before, why not just ask her to pay the fee?
Why should thugs lurk around a neighbourhood, peeping through people's windows and whisk away people away for detention and extortion.

It's just like PHCN using thugs to whisk you away in a commando style on allegation that your apartment is owing N2000 for instance, detain you for about 10hrs and then later take u to police station for continued detention or you pay N8000 to bail yourself.

Note that some students who could not bail themselves yesterday slept in the police cell.
