With the things that resolve around us in the world everyday, particularly in Africa…every element of our daily live and experience(es) is inherently and internally encoded in writings, en-grafts, signs, prints or written words.
The question begging for answers therefore is – “what is a book?” Since there are no universally accepted definition of the word-“book” many researchers and scholars have attempted to proffer some descriptions and plausible definitions. Some said it means, any written document. Latin and Sanskrit also have words for BOOK as “writing” that are based on tree names (“birch” and “ash,” respectively). Meaning “libretto of an opera” which left us far way out into what a BOOK means.

Dictionaries and encyclopedias went a further step to describe a BOOK as – “set of written, printed, or blank pages fastened along one side and encased between protective covers That sounded too good but it went out nice to the exclusion of e-books, e-journals and other electronic written resources structured.
