One thing is definite there is NO CHARM AT WORK but susceptible people can be HYPNOTIZED or others when they realize how foolish they have been concoct a charm story to hide their shame.
People WHO DO NOT believe in God are generally LESS SUSCEPTIBLE to scams. God is the number scam of all scams........

Did you say he is still young?
How can he be so greedy at a young age?

What does he want to do with an extra cash belonging to total strangers that he knows nothing about?

What stupid drug is sold for 1.2 million naira?

You guys have a lot of proper upbringing to do on that child. No silly charm was used on him, i've had numerous of such encounters and most happened when i was a teenager and gullible, but i never fell.

They'll usually give you stories of how you'll be handomesly compensated for doing absolutely nothing...only the greedy fall for such crap.
My dear...he has learnt his lessons in a hard way,he just got admission last week and his twinny is In school already so if care isn't taken,he may forfeit the admission... at least that will serve as a lesson

The summary is Greedy. I was greedy some yrs back in Onitsha and they Managed to collect 4k from me but along the process i recovered my silly self and went back home.
They met me at Emeka Offor plaza, mainmarket. He said he had container of full laptop and electronics and he doesn't trust anyone but his spirit allowed him to trust me. He took me to Asaba and they played me, even with Catholic rosary and magic because i was asked to spit on my front palm which i did and it appeared at the back. (i don't know the kinda jazz way they used) i went home and bath with holy water and told everybody. I learnt my lesson in a hardway. Since then they have been trying to repeat it on me but once i'm approached i start saying to them Repent or Perish. Hehehe

the thread title says about 200k, d screenshot with bank says 250k

pls what is the maximum daily withdrawal limit for ATM transactions?

while I do not doubt the story cos it has happened so many times with diff scenario, it is worth mentioning that your friend is dishonest, a thief/scammer, the least a potential one

I said the above cos of this

Note: The guy said he has 1.3m to buy the medicine
"So the guy at the ATM now said we should go and show him the place and that the medicine is not sold up to that amount so we can get the money and share the remaining later

These people are just everywhere.

My own experience with them was last year December, though a different tactics was employed.

I was to travel down East from Abuja when one well dressed man approached me. He was carrying a bag like me as though he was actually travelling. He engaged me in a chat whilst we walked down to the park. The man enquired to know where I'm travelling to and it happened that we are heading to the same destination.

Before I knew it, another man joined us from behind which from their discussion as we walked down the park, I sensed they know each other.

To cut the whole story short, their intent was for me to join them on a private vehicle so I can save myself the 5k for a public transport. As we approached the said car, I noticed another man (a by-stander) giving me sign to back off. He was actually making a "come" sign to me while shaking his head. This man continued to wave his hand and somehow, I reached out to him just to hear him out. That was when he whispered to me that those 2guys in front were "One Chance People", guys my eyes cleared immediately.

Before I could say jack, those guys stopped a cab upfront and zoomed off.

What would have happened to me if I had made that journey with them still baffles me after reading people's experiences in here.

I believe God saved my ass through that mystery man.

Let's be careful, especially when dealing with strangers.

Tah!!! Leave that charm aspect... Is not that i don't believe charms exist but i want you to know it's their profession and they might have been doing this for long to perfection that you believe it to be a charm.

What I do, I never link my savings account to my ATM card. Transfer the money from savings to current account qny time i need money from the ATM, better security. Banks try to sell me mobile banking etc, when i start asking them about security and insurance of funds in the acct in case anybody gets access to my phone or cards, the only answer they give is keep your phones and card well. Not good enough for me.

Me thought maximum daily withdrawal from ATM na 150k ooo.. o.p how come your aunty own na 200k....
just asking cos I am not understanding....

what they do is after withdrawing the maximum amount usually is after bank operations have closed then they will go back few minutes after 12 midnight that time their victims may be sleeping and the ATM machine will be Reding a new date. Sometimes they can withdraw over 400, 000k using the same method but over the weekend from Friday evening to few minutes after Sunday midnight.

I have met this ppl many uncountable time , rather they turn around to be my victim, the last one I met said I should go and bring 1m so they can bought the chemical needed to print the dollars, I collected the TP they give me go play baba ijebu, luckily I won that day , they waited for me tired because I told them my uncle kept 10m under my care... always be conscious of urself u will never fall for such
in as much as i like ur grit, i advise you dont engage much dialogue with dem, else dey may use charm and hypnotize you during d process n may lose control

it is very true. I almost feel victim to this exact same type of scam. Thank God for God, common sense, and lack of greed at that moment. My brain put two in two half way, and I crossed the road before they could realize their scam had burst.

This method of scam is now very popular. If you are reading this try to educate your friends and family about it. lemme explain mine. One day I was going to the bank(usually they stay along bank roads) and a guy approached me speaking both English and French. I ignored him and continue going, a guy 20 metres in front of me now asked me what the guy was up to. That he was speaking French and needed help but he was scared to help him but since we are two, we can help him because he has money with him and he might get scammed. Kindly note that the two guys who usually carry out such mission knows each other and stay at a considerable distance from one another to perpetrate such scam. Before you know it I followed them hoping I wanted to help someone grin . If they used charm I don't really now....

I think I will just create a detailed thread to educate people on this
this was the exact mindset I had when I almost fell victim to such. Those guys played with my humanity and I almost lost. I'm glad I wasn't greedy. They promised me 50k but I didn't really need money that period. I simply told the other guy to pocket my own share for me cos I was in a hurry to get somewhere. I crossed the busy road before they could even come up with a reply

This thing happens to me twice but they fail in their bid infact I was very smart more than them. What I just notice in the scam is the greed people have in money. getting rich syndrome. It happen to me twice on the same road in Ore to Ondo. I just board a cab that day I don't know it was a scam but they fail that day. There are two people in the cab before I enter the cab. I thought it was taxi not knowing they are scammers. Some of them was saying that there was a huge dollars that he saw in one rich hausa man and that the man died and no one to collect the dollars so I was listen to them that day not knowing they are scammers. So the guy said that day that's charms in the ghana must go bag that the money in the bag is dollars that we should shared the money. I was afraid that day that there's no problem that we should share the money. So d driver of the vehicle now suggest that we should go to babalawo place. I said there's no problem about it. So we got to the herbalist place not knowing they are crook of fraudsters. Eventually they were speaking their incantations I was also that praying and speaking in tongues to rebuke that thing they are saying. In the long run the herbalist was sensing that I don't belong to their group. He said that am a stranger that who am I. I was just smiling that day. Not knowing that they were scammers it was that day I saw different altars of evil places. That day I didn't give anything. I told them that I don't have anything that they should bring that dollars out in the ghana must go. It was that period I told the driver that am not interested again that he should let me go. I told the herbalist also that day. Immediately I left the place and I stayed in one college of education in ondo. That day I know there's God. Nothing happen I went home that day without anything that hurt me. The second one was when I was travelling from onitsha to osogbo but I stop in Ore so that it will be easy for me to get a bus to osogbo. I was on the road that day I now flanked one saloon car not knowing it is "ONE CHANCE" car I board. In the journey from Ore to ondo town they were starting saying the same thing again. I just tell them immediately that they should stop the car that am not going again. They were surprised that day that am am smarter. Nothing to give them that day. People should be smarter in this economic recession. They are everywhere looking for greedy Nigerians to scam.
