Fundamentalist: I highlighted how an individual can go organic and you call me a sooth sayer!....you make me laugh and it seems you are new to the Agric section! If l add rabbit urine, you will brand me something else! |

Pavore9: Where is this been practiced, Can you produce it on a commercial scale. And how acceptable will it be to our local farmers |
Re: Nigeria/morocco To Produce One Million Tons Of Fertilizer From 2017 by Pavore9: 8:19am On Dec 07, 2016 |
Fundamentalist:I work in Nairobi, kenya. Of course it can be done in a commercial scale as the organic strawberries is supplied weekly to the upscale Java coffee House in Nairobi. A farmer who today wants to get the best out of his effort MUST do away with the old methods of doing things as the world has moved on. Just take vertical sack farming as an example, with a plot of land in Lagos, l can harvest N300k worth of organic high valued veggies monthly. Here in Kenya, a litre of rabbit urine is selling for about N750, it proves it has value as it serves as pesticide and foliar feed. People like to copy what is practicable and higher earning. |

Fundamentalist: That is the job of the Agric extension officers, they are responsible for linking farmers with knowledge but the ministry of agriculture at the states and federal levels have failed in this. How many farmers in Nigeria have the phone numbers of the Agric extension officer who ought to be covering their localities? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigeria/morocco To Produce One Million Tons Of Fertilizer From 2017 by Pavore9: 6:52pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
hahn: When l was involved with some Agric projects in some states in the southeast, l worked with their respective ministry of agriculture and had a first hand experience with the rot there. Paddy rice that was supplied by the FG to be distributed to local rice farmers to plant was processed by these extension officers and sold in the markets! 1 Like 1 Share |
