Why do we have arrested development in Africa? According to www.talkingdrum.com.ng many scholars have argued that Africa lack investment and capital and are such cannot grow. One wonder were are are the palm nut, cocoa of this world, gold, uranium and crude oil. Why won't Africa be poor when we produce what we do not consume and consume what we do not produce. Why are our boys dieing in the desert and in the sea trying to reach Europe? At first it was by force, with chains on our necks, but today we beg to be HAVE as prisoners in European countries. Nutritionally, we have been impoverished carry our nutritional cocoa to import chocolate that has no health value, export cocoa nut for cocoa butter oil, beans for bake beans. Our children are looking malnourished as we feed them with snacks, chocolate and Coca Cola drinks, while we abandon ewedu, pumpkin, cocoa and palm oil and beans soup. We need to ask questions.

We lack leaders of vision.

Africans are the cause of Africa's undevelopment. Africans, particularly the educated ones, who sadly become leaders are wicked, selfish and very corrupt in all ramifications. Their education is a curse to them because they do the opposite of what the books say. They see themselves as lords and not servants of the people. Maybe, Africans need recolonisation.

I quiet understand our frustration about the impudence and mental bankruptcy of most African leaders, but the problem also lie with the people of Africa. As a people we have failed to harmonize our common discontent for a people's revolution, instead we are dwelling on paddy paddy, ethnicity and tribal sentiments. The fact is that whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa, we all go to the same market, school and face the same problem of no light, no road, no water, no job, and no money. We need to think alike. Though tongues may differ but we are one people in spirit and aspiration, with common problems.

Creation of colonial states filled with incompatible ethnic and religious groups.

When a union is not united, progress eludes that union. cool
