Adamawa State Considers Review Of Use Of Hijab by ogashman(m): 7:18pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
Adamawa State Government is considering
temporary review of the use of hijab in
security prone areas as part of measures to
contain suicide bombers.
The state Commissioner for Information and
Strategy, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, announced
this on Sunday in Yola.
He was addressing newsmen on the
outcome of an emergency security meeting
over the Friday’s twin bomb blasts in
Madagali market that led to many dead and
injuries.
Sajoh said Governor Muhammadu Bindow
would meet with members of Adamawa
Muslim Council and other stakeholders to
discuss the possibility of taking that
temporary measure, adding that those that
carried out the Madagali suicide attack were
in hijab.
Sajoh said the meeting also underscored the
need for people to be more vigilant during
this festive period and in places like markets,
motor parks, churches and mosques.
“We also resolved in the meeting, based on
security recommendations, to assist
members of vigilance groups in the areas in
view of their contribution to security
agencies.”

The hijab needs an outright ban. It is an attire that only reminds us of the terror and hypocrisy of Islam. Hijab is a security threat. 80 Likes 6 Shares |

Maybe the Kaduna designation and treatment of Shiites as insurgents should be considered and applied to islam in its totality until adherents figure out how to live in peace... Whilst d lessons on peaceful coexistence is ongoing, the nasties among them should be obliterated with d same gruesome precision as d Army applies on unarmed civilians including women n children. 3 Likes |

The hijabs were used by the prostitutes to conceal their identities in the old testament. The religious hypocrites copied it without the full knowledge of its origin and purpose. 42 Likes 4 Shares |

I'm not against any religion, but there are shorter hijabs that can replace the long ones they wear over there. Even in schools, these hijabs are used for malpractice, stealing etc. 6 Likes |

Following the recent attacks that killed at least 36 persons at a market in Madagali, the Adamawa State government is considering a ban on hijab in ‘flashpoint areas’ as part of measures to prevent attacks by female suicide bombers. Briefing newsmen shortly after an emergency security meeting yesterday in Yola, the Commissioner of Information, Ahmad Sajoh, said government would work with Muslim leaders to take a position that would not infringe on religious rights, saying the fact that the Friday attack was carried out by two female attackers wearing Hijab called for some form of restriction. He said the meeting which was attended by the military, the police and paramilitary agencies looked at the security situation in the state with a view to taking decisions that would ensure security of lives and property especially as the festive period approaches. They should continue using it. When people lack intelligence and common sense, they hide it under spirituality. Religion should not deprive you of basic reasoning. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Taking necessary precautions . it should be banned temporarily due to Security reasons for the time being, hijab has been used for different kinds of atrocities by some iota of Nigeria's Northern population, i am a muslim and i can categorically tell you the kinds of things alike ladies use hijab for, ranging from malpractice, to hidden prostitution, stealing and etc. but it should also be noted that religion resides in the heart of a believer. 2 Likes |
