Finally Buhari gets the memo that everything is not about AK47 as he has done with the Avengers, IPOB, and Shiites.

Are his crocodiles tired of smiling?

Learning on the job for a man who sought power for almost 12yrs, and who incidentally has held this position in the past!

developing the region is not as easy as most people think especially the creeks. I remember when setraco was dualizing delta to ph road. They were using sharp sand a base soil. Visit the region and see for yourself

Niger Deltans are not vindictive like the Fulanis. Buhari is only paying for his 5percent mumu talk and chasing tompolo shadows
How exactly does this personally affect Buhari's welfare Who suffers more for the nonsense?

Buhari would have evaded all these wahala if only and if only he was an integrator..

Thinking anybody can intimidate the niger delta with the military is just madness..

A time will come in this country when violence would no longer be effective a tool to bring the gkvernment to the negitiation table. That moment when the government sees the only way to guarantee peace and a compliant law abiding citizenry is bolstering the capabilities of our security forces so much so any misfit contemplating such an idea as to make life unpalatable to his neighbors would pobably think about it until he gets so old his strength fails him.

that time will never come..except we turn nigeria into syria..

Let the government wake up and foster equality and federalism..only then can lasting solutions come...

Hope after agreement and all the fg will not turn back and deny those negotiating on its behalf?

D problem with the equation is that after talks and agreement is reach. The people paid the money will vanish into thin air and use the funds to finance more guerrilla attack on oil installations. Thats the true face of that issue. Afterall how did Dokubu and his mates make their money?
Nigeria is a joke.

What makes you believe he'd live long enough to see 2019? What makes you believe he'd be strong enough to contest in 2019? What makes you believe he'd even be interested in 2019?

While they (or should i say, you) hope the essence of their bombings would manifest on the president in 2019, the people in the locality where the bombings are taking place are already paying dearly for it as we see them complain about the polution of their environment. And guess what, this pollution isnt gonna go away with Buhari if he leaves in 2019, it would probably remain for the next 10-20years as the compounds released into the environment are non biodegredable.

Now mull that over and tell me what sense there is in what those guys are doing.

Corinth people agitate because of neglect and not for fun. You would agree with me that the only language the federal government hears is violence. Nigeria have lost more than it had gained launching different operations. The people need sincerity for multinationals and the government. Buhari started the war words first. If you remember there was no bombings when he assumed office. He aggrieved boys with unguarded statements. For the part of environmental degradation it has been there. Most companies flare gases all over Niger-delta and it is not the standard else where in the world.

Nigeria is a joke.
Hold the government in place responsible over Dokubu Tompolo issue. And these ones are asking for the money to be taken to the community direct. This way there won't be much bureaucracy in apportioning money for projects.

One of the problems of this region are their governors. As small as bayelsa is, despite their 13% allocation, most areas are still dwelling in abject poverty.

If only this militants can channel their greviances and violence to their governors and senators.

That's my only problem with them, they should ask their governors what they have been doing with the 13% they receive from time to time...

Yet another another round tripping.

After they are done, we will get to hear that the group whom the FG has been in talks with are not the real representatives of the different factions. We've been there before.

Did it involve rocket science when Yar A'dua got these militants to down their weapons and embrace dialogue?

I've not seen any one or groups of people this present FG can come up with that will truly speak the language these agitators understand and respect.

By the time the year ends, we will still get to hear about more pipeline vandalisms.
The difference between then and now is that then, anybody who showed up with an Ak47 was compensated for killing people and blowing pipelines by jonathan and yaradua with billions of naira.
With the benefit of hindsight, we know that program was a failure. Now nobody is getting a dime for doing anything or owning weapons. Come and state your grievances. If they're valid they will be worked upon as long as money is not involved.

A certainty that the region will still be in abject poverty 20 years from date. There own kinsmen keep embezzling there entitlements.

my brother, was the 2015 elections a war? how long are we going to sound this disrespectful to each others tribe? Nigerians decided who should lead them,.it wasn't a championship contest,so nobody was beat, but a winner emerged.I don't know how old you but,we should not pretend to be responsible at home while insults the tribe that empower the network provider you are using with oil and gas.

Weak up!!!!!!!!!!south south youths!!!!
For those vomiting thrash, Slavery of the mind is very bad. In 1967 the Hausa Fulanis told some disgruntled Ikwerres, Kalabaris, Efiks, Anangs, Ibibios, izon, and Okirikans that the Igbos were interested in their oil. They foolishly accepted and joined the enemy in bed. After the war the truth of those really interested in oil emerged.
The Hausa Fulanis and Yorubas killed Adaka Bolo before he could demand for his region.
They quickly shared the oil well and destroyed the land. Unfortunately the indigents were helpless because they fought against their brothers.
The Ogonis were raped by Col. Oguntimo led forces. Saro Wiwa was killed by the Hausas. Yet the young men remained ignorant and hopeless. How many of those people were killed by Igbos.
Well let me educate you people so you people don't know that Abia, Imo and of recent Anambra state are all oil producing states? niger delta simply means regions that produces oil in nigeria not a tribe. niger delta involves regions in south east, south south and south west, pls weak up!!! The world have gone Beyond oil this days,
We Biafrans invent, we manufacture, we produce, we create, we write, we serve,we are Biafra, Nigeria expired as a federation in 2014, so a referendum should be conducted so that Biafrans can build there nation. It's idiotic to assume the BIAFRA is demanding for biafra because of so called oil.( NO!!)(only a lazy person think so)
There are many nations on earth today who became global economic hub without oil.
Israel did not become what they are today in all sector with crude oil. Switzerland economy did not become buoyant with crude oil. Germany did not become world most industrialized nation with crude oil. China do not have oil. Japan, south Korea don't. But they remained today's global economic leaders..
The SS are the most hopeless set of people in the whole world. An adage says that when people un irate together it will foam.
It is also good to chase away the fox and then ask the mother hen what she was looking for in the bush. Anytime the SE and SS attempt to come together, the fifth columnist will appear.
Is there any where indigenous ly called the NIGER DELTA? What is the name of the people living in the area called Niger delta? Niger delta is an area not a people. You are either Ijaw, Igbo, Urohbo, Okirika, Kalabari, Itshekiri, Anioma, Ikwerre, Etche etc. All these area were originally called BIAFRA and this is contained in the document signed by the British during trade before colonialism.
We are very unwise. Anambra state pays more wages to civil servants than Delta State, Rivers State, Bayelsa State, Akwa ibom state. And you are talking of oil. Which oil? Rubbish. People are building cars, manufacturing and making billion. See you see America, see France, see Britain.
Your land is laid waste and you are talking our oil our oil . Wake up. South south!

The Niger delta fight has supersede the fight for natural resource control. it's more of payback time for bokoharam disturbance when there son was the number one citizen of nigeria.Buhari knows that,he even took advantage of bokoharam menace to overthrow our son (Jonathan). Niger delta bombing can never be stopped unless the Fulani president steps down.

The surest answer to this issue n Nigeria economic problems is true fiscal federalism, N Delta will use their oil money to turn her region to Texas or Dubai, those who have solid will use d proceeds to turn their region to b d best they can n so on... FG should stop running away from d problem, solve it once n for all, no doubt at d initial stage things will b hard for some states but will time they will get over it. Or d fiscal federalism can b implemented in stages, we start at 50% to 75% n then 100%
