In the Health Sector, the Paediatric Wards, Water Scheme and other completed facilities were commissioned at the Patani General Hospital, Patani. and in Ika federal Constituency,the General Hospital, Abavo, a completely new health facility, is in the list of projects recently commissioned by Gov Okowa.

In the Education Sector, three (3) Primary Schools, one (1) Model Secondary School, one Technical College and the Faculty of Law Complex, Delta State University, Oleh Campus were commissioned while two technical colleges namely Agbor and Sapele Technical colleges will be commissioned in due course.
The Model Secondary School at Ashaka is under construction and will be completed soon.

The Construction of Orerokpe Model Market, Orerokpe, is at an advanced stage of completion and same thing applicable to the Sapele Market. The Owa-Alero ultra mordern market is under construction too.
Gov Okowa made the creation of jobs a top priority.We can attest to this through his deep commitment and unshakable resolve to improve lives and ensure prosperity for all Deltans, through the STEP, PPSP,YAGEP, the Micro-credit scheme for small and medium enterprises, and other Job creation programmes.

As at April 30, 2016, a total of 17,173 (seventeen thousand, one hundred and seventy three) private sector jobs were created by the Okowa-led government. This figure consists of 6,800 (six thousand, eight hundred) direct jobs and 10,373 (ten thousand, three hundred and seventy three) indirect jobs of both skilled and unskilled workers.
As a Special Purpose Vehicle, the Office of the Chief Job Creation Officer accounted for 7,522 (seven thousand, five hundred and twenty two) of these jobs while the remaining 9,651 (nine thousand, six hundred and fifty one) were created through projects, programmes and initiatives implemented through the various MDA.

What a joke. Most of the project are sited in Ika lga. The riverine communities where u get derive the revenue to execute this project are not carried along. When they start bombing Nigerians would be yelling delta militants again. Ossai tell okowa to pay workers promptly. He should try to repair FG roads. Delta state is rich.

Okowa Explains Why LG Staff Are Owed Salaries

DELTA State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said salaries owed local government workers was attributable to their unique salary structure and large number of staff.
According to Governor Okowa, it was only in Delta State that some local government councils have the same salary structure with the state government and the federal government.
The governor who expressed sadness that staff of the third tier of government were suffering in the state as a result of salary arrears, noted that apart from the salary structure, some local government councils have more than 700 persons as their staff strength.
He spoke yesterday (11/12/16) at Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state during electoral victory celebration cum empowerment programme of the member representing the area in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi.
While assuring that his administration would not encourage the sack of workers because of recession ravaging the country, Governor Okowa disclosed that the Councils have adopted an approach where only verified staff and "those who come to work are paid."
He also, used the occasion to reiterated his administration's commitment to equitable distribution of projects in the state, asserting, "we are doing a lot across, the state and Deltans in Central, South and North know that I am not discriminating."
"Despite the tough time, we are doing a lot because God has given us the wisdom to utilize what we have to the benefits of our people, I am confident that our revenue will improve in 2017 and we will increase the tempo of what we are doing in the state," the governor said.
He congratulated Hon. Nwaobi for the affirmation of his victory at the polls by different courts of the land, noting dedicating such victories to God was important because, political offices were to render service to God and humanity.
"We must be constantly reminded that we were chosen to serve for a reason; the real thanksgiving is to render selfless service mankind and to the service to God," the governor said.
The Senator representing Delta North, Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, among others who spoke at the occasion thanked God for the ingenuity of Governor Okowa for the effective management of the resources of the state to the benefits of Deltans.
Delivering a sermon at the Thanksgiving Mass held at St. Paul's Catholic Cathedral Church, Issele-Uku, Rev. Fr. Andrew Nwulo urged Christians, especially political office holders to be charitable, forgiving and peaceful while Hon. Nwaobi thanked Governor Okowa for the developmental projects going on in his constituency.

Fear God. Nothing is working in delta truth be told. With the huge allocation we have nothing to show for it. Have u been to other parts of the federation. You would weep for delta state.
