You see... Even Buhary assets declarations is fraudulent and was never made public as he promised during campaign. "We welcome the official declaration of assets by the president and the vice-president. This clearly complies with the requirements of the Nigerian Constitution as contained in Chapter 6 Section 140. "However, the declaration before the Code of Conduct alone falls far short of the commitment to publicly declare their assets. "SERAP recalls that the president said before the election that he would publicly declare his assets and liabilities, and encourage all his appointees to publicly declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment. "We now expect the president to fulfill this promise to the Nigerian people. "We trust that the president and vice-president will move swiftly to publicly declare their assets and to publish widely the information on a dedicated website. "We believe that public disclosure of assets is crucial in ensuring that public officials’ personal interests including those of the president and vice-president, as the leaders of the nation, do not conflict with their duties and responsibilities. "Public disclosure also helps to provide a baseline and means for comparison to identify assets that may have been corruptly acquired, so that a public official may legitimately be asked to account for." https://politics.naij.com/450128-declare-assets-publicly-serap-to-buhari-osinbajo.html 23 Likes 1 Share |

But Buhari during campaign said all his ministers must declare their assets. They can just emulate Buhari and declare thus; I have a land in Portharcourt, no specification, no address. These are the most corrupt set of leaders so far. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

PMB himself is yet to fully comply according to HIS OWN standards before the election Change doesn't necessarily mean things change for the better When you superintend over the largest state budget in the country you may have problems fulfilling asset declaration requirements https://www.nairaland.com/3418984/fashola-years-details-contracts-awarded https://www.nairaland.com/2331840/top-10-dodgy-contracts-awarded https://www.nairaland.com/2380169/top-10-20-dodgy-contracts meanwhile Mr BUdGit (Seun Onigbinde) is telling us that the Buhari he sold is not the one in charge https://www.nairaland.com/3514594/seun-onigbinde-buhari-sold-not#51855984 and Tolu Ogunlesi is explaining that sometimes its okay to steal if you do some work https://www.nairaland.com/3441679/tolu-ogunlesi-explains-how-sometimes 4 Likes 1 Share

Even if these 'leaders' declare their assets today, it's already late after occupying an office for more than one year. The question is, was it an omission on their part or an outright negligence of our laws? Can they truly enforce some laws in their various ministries while refusing to obey other laws? Hope our leaders know that trust is better earned. |

You expect Buhari to X-ray the crooks he invited to come devour with him what's left of this nation? Don't be dumb. Those who are disappointed today are the ones who expected wonders from a historically confirmed embodiment of leadership incompetence. Sai Baba! |
