Skin cancer is nothing but evolving of abnormal skin cells. It most often grows on areas of the skin exposed to the sun’s rays. Skin cancer treatments influence people of all colors and races, though those with light skin who sunburn easily have a higher risk.
Below given are the various types of skin cancers:

1. Actinic Keratoses (AK):
These are dry, scaly patches or spots are pre-cancerous growths.
• People who get AKs have fair skin.
• Many people see their first AKs following 40 years of age because AKs tend to grow after years of sun exposure.
• AKs normally form on the skin that gets lots of sun exposure, like the head, neck, hands, and forearms.
• Because an AK can proceed to a type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), treatment is necessary.

2. Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC):
It is the most common type of skin cancer.
• BCC’s frequently develop in people who have fair skin, yet they can occur in people with darker skin.
• BCC’s look like a flesh-coloured, pearl-like bump or a pinkish patch of skin.
• BCC’s develop after years of consistent sun exposure or indoor tanning.
• BCC’s are common on the head, neck, and arms, yet can form anywhere on the body, including the chest, abdomen, and legs.
• Early detection and treatment for BCC are BCC can capture the surrounding tissue and spread into the nerves and bones, causing disfigurement and injury.

3.Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC):
SCC’s are the 2nd most popular type of skin cancers.
• People who have light skin are most likely to develop SCC, yet they can evolve in darker-skinned people.
• SCC usually looks like a red firm bump, scaly patch, or a sore that recovers and then opens again.
• SCC tends to form on skin that gets continuous sun exposure, like the rim of the ear, face, neck, arms, chest, and back. SCC can evolve deep in the skin and cause injury and disfigurement. Early detection and treatment can avert this and stop SCC from reaching to other parts of the body

4. Melanoma:
Melanoma is the mortal form of skin cancer.
• Melanoma frequently evolves in a mole or suddenly occurs as a new dark spot on the skin.
• Early detection and treatment are pivotal.
