...After two weeks of resumption. Students began to flood into the school premises in large numbers, studies had eventually kicked start in full. I got prepared for school activities as usual, I was to have a class by 10am. I did my regular chores, took my bathe, brushed my teeth, wore a jean and a hoody. It was still very cold out, I needed to put on something to keep me warm. I wore a socks and had on my gucci slippers. In fact, I was so ready for school. ''Oh!, I never eat o'' i tot ''make I no go faint for class, because this prof. Eze's class is so long and boring, he fit teach from 10am to 4pm, the man no dey tire ''. '' wetin I go con eat now o'' I began to wonder. I was way too lazy to go into the kitchen to prepare something to eat and time had gone, I had just an hour to get to class. If I eventually get to the class a minute late, Prof. Eze will surely drive me out. ''ohhh!'' an idea struck me. ''make I go buy burger for near supreme hotel, that Mama burger dey sweet die''. I hurriedly wore my face cap, locked my door and headed straight to ''BURGER island''. Thankfully and luckily I saw mama outside busy serving her customers. Me: Mama Good morning ma. Mama: ey, my pikin. How are you. Wait, make I serve this my customer he dey here dey wait since. (she said in crooked voice) I looked towards the direction of the person she was referring to and lo and behold, it was one of the cultist, my hearted skipped twice. Me: argh! ''Owain'', I greet you o. *My spelling may be wrong but Owain is used as a title to refer to someone who seniors you, probably an elder. It's an Esan language. Bros: hey, how you dey na. Mama, na my boy be this o. I smiled. I actually paid for what he bought. Not because I felt intimidated or scared but, Because I had enough in my pocket. Bros: you too much. Me: Mama abeg give me Akara 50 naira. Chai this your bread soft o (I held the bread in my hands smooching it like a girls bre@st) mama how much? Mama: bread don cost o. This one na fresh bread dem just dey bring am from bakery. Na just 80 naira. Me: Aah! Mama, bread wey be say na 40 naira, abi 30 naira sef. How come? Mama: My pikin na so me sef see am o. The economy don bad finish. Me: mama no wahala abeg, bring am like that. I dey H and I don dey late for school. She arranged the Hot Akara inside a turned punch news paper and gave it to me. At that moment, I disected the bread like a surgeon, and carefully placed the akara inside like a surgeon giving a girl a bre@st implant. I squeezed it together, so that the two favours can blend. ''oh! Burger I love you so much'' I tot. ''How would I have survived without you. I will never forsake you, when I needed you the most you were right by my side. My love for you continues'' I sat down comfortably on a bench and dismantled the burger with joy. Me: Mama this your akara sweet finish. You go teach me o one day. Mama: My pikin, thank you. After eating, I was ready to go to school. ''Oh, it's 9:30am, I'm almost late''........ To be continued 5 Likes 1 Share |

HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS Continuation ********* I kicked start my journey towards the school gate direction. I could see lots of activities beginning to commence, as traders brought their goods out for their customers to buy, similar to ''demand and supply'' that's if my economics instincts still works. Of course I wasn't alone, I had my headphones on, jamming loudly to a gospel song by Kirk Franklin ''Imagine me''. I was beginning to get intuned to God Almighty because without him, I will be nowhere. I needed to give him praise more often. While working pass the school gate, feeling spiritually high. I heard a matured voice calling me from behind. ''Hey, you stop there'', ''you no dey hear''. I turned around, only to see a security man calling me. I had to halt to avoid on foreseen circumstances. I went towards the security man's direction. The security man was so dark, I suspected his children wouldn't even see their Dad if Nepa takes the light in the Night. Maybe or probably when he smiles, his teeth may glow. Only God knows. Security: which level are you in? Me: 200 level sir Security: you have spent two years in this school yet don't knw the rules, don't you know it's forbidden to put a face cap on campus. (of course I knew, I just felt like putting it on) me: I'm sorry sir, I won't bring it to school again. Security: give me the cap, come and collect it at the office after lectures. Me: okay, thank you sir. I pulled the cap with humility and I gave him, I boarded a shuttle heading straight to NLT. Time check, to 10. I was getting late. The drive drove his rickety bus, slowly to my destination. My blood was boiling, I didn't want to miss prof. Eze class because of the attendance. I eventually got off the bus, and ran straight to my class. time check. 10 am on the dot. I was late. No hope. I saw Mayson going to the same direction as I was. Me: Mayson, how you dey na. We are so late, this man no go allow us enter o Mayson: I just hope he allows. And I can't even see his SUV packed outside as usual. Me: do you think he his around? Mayson: I don't know o. Lets go an check. We got to the class and ''phew'' ,sign of relive, Prof. Eze didn't show up. I saw my course mates in class gossiping in 3's and 4's. Making noise. Chai! Girls and gossip be like one and two. Mayson: I no fit see Thompson and Marvis. They tell me say them go show school. Me: wait let me call them. I brought my Galaxy S3 out and I dialed Thompsons number. He picked up in no time. He instructed us to meet them at NFA. Since the class had been cancelled we headed towards the direction of NFA. On getting to NFA, I saw 5 of my course mates sitting down on a long bench a beautiful girl in thei midst. They were others guys there, some drinking the regular hot drink ''Megasea'' and smoking cigarette. Mayson and I greeted each and everyone of the with ''I HAILO''. Some responded, some didn't, but I didn't give 2 fucccks. I greeted my friends, Makavelli, Marvis, Thompson, Gerrad ,Rukeme and the beautiful yellow pawpaw babe. On their table they had a huge plastic bottle of coke (the biggest, I've ever seen), cigarettes sticks filled the table like chewing sticks, and other hot drinks. Makevelli: Temy , how you dey. Mayson what's up. Make una relax. Drinks on me, money dey. Me: Respect, Thompson how you dey na? Thompson: oboy! I don high. I don dey drink since o. That yeye man no come class. Me: early Morning highNess, what to do. Mayson: Mama abeg, give me Megasea make I use am see front, I want make my eyes sharp well. Marvis: you no see my baby wey dey my side. Na my love be this o Me: hey, girl how you doing? (I stressed my hands to shake her) Marvis: kai! Wetin you dey do. No stain my babe o Me: you don really high. (looking towards the direction of the girl), sorry what's you name. Girl: My name is Linda. Me: Mm, fine name for a fine girl Makavelli: Na woman you con see for here, abi na your guys you con see. Me: abeg no vex o Makavelli is my course mate, heavily built, always looking fresh and always rocking a camouflage. He is a member of a cult group. (I can't say his real name due to security reasons infact FYI 95% of characters mention here aren't their aren't their real names, well except Emafidon lol) Makavelli: Temy, drink up. Mama abeg give this guy drink, I wan make he high, money is talking. I'm rich, I be G boy as you see me so, every person wey see for this town dey bow down. Me: Bro, Make I drink this coke for a start. (I humbly said, turning a huge amount of Soda into a glass) Makavelli: you sure,? But you go still take hot drink o. Me: yes boss I gulped the soda, horribly taking two huge cups, preparing for the hot drink that awaits me. Then suddenly, I felt this bitter taste in the drink. ''What have I drank'' I tot ''no be coke be this abi when coke start to dey bitter'' Me: Abeg, wetin dey this drink? Marvis: mtsheww. Na 7000 milligram of Tramadol, mixed with 1000 milligram of Refnol and two mega sea. Me: Arg!!!!!! Mo gbe 9 Likes 1 Share |
