One of the biggest talking points of the Club World Cup has been the use of Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR). Football lovers I am curious to hear where the fans stand on such a controversial new measure.
Real Madrid's players and coach have made their frustrations clear, but the truth is that criticism of VAR in its current form shouldn't mean people throw out the idea altogether.

Pros
What has been on display at the Club World Cup isn't the final version of VAR, but rather, it is something far from it. Football has the need to evolve and use technology, just as has been done in tennis, basketball, and a host of other sports. This trial period is clearly worth it if it prevents unworthy champions from being given the title due to human error.

Cons
The confusion and standing around broke the flow of the match. The system hasn't been perfected, and quite simply it didn't work. Football should be enjoyed like it always has been, without interruptions. The decision making of humans is an integral part of the game. If even after watching replays, people can't agree, something like this is just going to bring even more outrage.

What do you think?

The VAR should be improved upon and used for the 2018 World Cup.

FIFA could limit its use to "offside goals", mistaken identity, penalty claims and malicious play. Also, each team should be entitled to only 3 'challenges' per match in order not to excessively disrupt the flow of the game.
