I just don't get the hatred Nigerians, especially on nairaland have for Nigerian Doctors. Any thread that has anything remotely to do with health turns into a bashing ground for Doctors and other health personnel. Even if the Health personnel creates a thread to educate the public, it turns to a bashing ground.
Just go to hospitals all over the country and see Nigerians appreciating their Doctors and health personnel for their care and help. I have patients I've treated still calling me 2 years after to check up on me and thank me once again. Same thing with other health personnel.
That you had one bad experience doesn't mean a whole profession should be branded worthless.
Learn to appreciate because, guess what? When you get sick, you'll be treated by a Nigerian Doctor.

Just like eyinjuege said, don't take anything that happens here personal. Except you didn't train in Nigeria, which kain bashing we no receive for medical school?
Oga abuse you, even matron sef go abuse you, and worse still, clerical staffs at college go add their own join.
Nairaland is a place for banter, a place where we all bring forward our frustration with the system and pour it on whoever gives a fvck.
In reality, the respect is palpable

True. I didn't school in Nigeria, that still doesn't make it okay. Using adjectives like useless, stupid and ignorant to describe someone trying to save lives is not cool at all. Maybe, I'm just sensitive.

Abajo! Those are everyday words in medical school, the Nigerian doctor has grown thick skin to such.
Besides, do you really expect the praises for doing your work? Just do what you gotta do and move on.
