Climate, stress, and workout generally lead to a lot of sweating out. But, do you know that there are some people who find their feet and palms sweating profusely even without any workout? 1. Vinegar
An ingredient commonly available in most of the households is natural Vinegar and one can also opt for Apple cider. To control excessive sweating this needs to be taken three times in a day either before or after the meal. It is advisable to consume this on an empty stomach thirty minutes prior or post meal. Apple cider vinegar has astringent properties that reduce excessive sweating and helps control by closing the pores on the skin.

2. Sage Herb Tea
One of the age-old proven remedies is the Sage Herb tea which needs to be brewed in warm water and consumed when it is at room temperature. A daily dose of this brew ensures sufficient supply of the Vitamin B and magnesium to the body which controls hyper activities of the sweat glands and is very effective in reducing underarm sweating.

3. Black Tea
Black tea is very easy to prepare and can be consumed every day in the morning. With the richness of tannins that have astringents, it mainly helps in two ways-One by blocking the pores of the skin, and preventing the secretion of sweat, and the other by keeping the body temperature cool thus reducing the chances of sweat generation in the body.

4. Lemon Juice With Baking Soda
Most commonly available in every house, this is yet another proven remedy to slow down the activity of sweat glands. One teaspoon of baking soda sprinkled with fresh lemon juices can be applied as the paste on the parts of the body which sweat profusely. Allow to dry for 10 minutes before rinsing it.

5. Tomato Juice
A vegetable that is used for daily cooking can come handy in treating Hyperhidrosis. There are two quick and easy ways. One is to cut a fresh tomato and rub it on the parts of the body which sweat excessively and leave it for 15 minutes before washing it off. The other is to consume one cup of raw tomato juice for a week if you have a flavor for it and continue the same in lower dosage in the following week as well. The effect is it reduces body temperature and thus the sweating process in the body is slowed down.

6. Cornstarch With Baking Soda
Households usually have corn starch and baking soda. An equal proportion of these two mixed in the form of dry dust can be applied on the part of the body which acts as an antiperspirant. It helps in reducing the odor emanated because of sweat by neutralizing it. The dry mixture can be stored in the small container and carried along easily.

7. Potato
Another rich source of starch is Potato. It comes in as a handy remedy for Hyperhidrosis. A peeled and cut potato when rubbed on the parts of the body can be effective in reducing sweat.

8. Wheatgrass Juice
Wheatgrass is a natural antioxidant and helpful in removing harmful toxins from the body especially in reducing the foul odor of sweat. Wheatgrass powder is easily available in the market these days. A bottle of 100 grams powder of wheatgrass would last for nearly a month if consumed once a day mixed into warm water on empty stomach. Wheatgrass consumption neutralizes the acid formation in the body and is a rich source of Vitamins B6, B12, C and folic acid.

9. Witch Hazel
A natural herb derived from the bark and leaves of Hamamelis virginiana. It is a natural astringent known for its ability to shrink the pores of the skin and also removes excessive oil from the skin. Help reduce secretion of sweat.

10. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is natural astringent and is easily available in the market. When consumed by adding 4 to 5 drops of tea tree oil with lukewarm water, it is effective in remediating Hyperhidrosis. One can also use the oil to apply or rub into the affected part of the body with a cotton ball.

11. Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal is meant to be used or consumed mainly by Adults. This helps in dealing with the excessive sweat from hand and sweaty feet mainly by absorbing the moisture from the body parts. Adding one tablespoon of the Activated charcoal to warm water and having it daily in the morning in an empty stomach can be effective. The consumption needs to be in limited quantity especially for those who have intestinal problems.

Other common remedies to overcome the Hyperhidrosis are consumption of food that is rich in magnesium like bananas, soy milk, pumpkin seeds, green leafy vegetables, tofu, avocados, walnuts, almonds, grapes.

Some ways of preventing excessive sweating are as follows:-

Keep the bad stress at bay
Avoid or reduce the intake of sugary foods or drinks containing caffeine
Lot of liquid intake mainly in form of plain water
Stay away from hard drinks, smoking and drugs
Wearing dresses made out of natural fibers and cotton that are reasonably loose fitting.
Reduce intake of spicy and chemically processed food.
Using soaps which are soft for the skin and don’t contain strong deodorants.

These home remedies can help reduce and control sweating for a long period of time.
