The present economic situation in Nigeria, is no doubt obvious to Nigerians living in and outside the country. It is a prominent issue among all African countries. This is a message coming forth in this present state of vicissitudes Nigeria is in, a message in order to reach out to Nigerians abroad, a come back message.
I have read through the profiles of Nigerian geniuses residing in other countries, record has it that they are doing great exploits in their field of study. Also according to record, that after the departure of some of these personalities from the airport in Nigeria, they had not returned to the country again. Most of these individuals have been carried away by the peaceful and comfortable conditions they have found themselves. The fact is that some of them are reputable in their various fields, they are in positions to tangible contributions in order to bring the long awaited development in Nigeria to a reality, however some have failed to recognize this fact.
Among them, we have a Mohandas Ghandi who can rescue his people from the long political turmoil they are in, also of these individuals we have a Roosevelt who is able to redirect the ship of economy of this country. This message is for Nigerians that there is no place like one's father's house.
A recent news going viral on social media shows an example of the feat achieved by Nigerians around the globe. A Nigerian who was appointed as part of the 16-man advisory committee on economy by the just elected U.S president, Donald Trump, Adebayo Ogunlesi. It is a pride for Nigerians though, but that is not enough to make us proud.
In essence, I am using this opportunity to send a come back message to all our reputed nationals abroad that their long awaiting presence would be highly appreciated. Nigeria is for us all, divided we fall, together we stand. If we all decide to evacuate to another man's land, we will definitely return someday because vicissitudes is ubiquitous.
