Religion, to me, doesn't have the power to make people moral. Morality is based on personal decision or some other factors and life experiences.

Why do pastors commit fornication, get addicted to pornography, or steal church money? Even Christians are guilty of such and many more.

So when someone asks "how can one be moral without God?" I tell them "how are christians immoral with God?"

In simple terms

Romans 13

1 All of you must obey those who rule over you. There are no authorities except the ones God has chosen. Those who now rule have been chosen by God.

2 So whoever opposes the authorities opposes leaders whom God has appointed. Those who do that will be judged.

3 If you do what is right, you won’t need to be afraid of your rulers. But watch out if you do what is wrong! You don’t want to be afraid of those in authority, do you? Then do what is right, and you will be praised.

4 The one in authority serves God for your good. But if you do wrong, watch out! Rulers don’t carry a sword for no reason at all. They serve God. And God is carrying out his anger through them. The ruler punishes anyone who does wrong.

5 You must obey the authorities. Then you will not be punished. You must also obey them because you know it is right.

6 That’s also why you pay taxes. The authorities serve God. Ruling takes up all their time. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them. Do you owe taxes? Then pay them. Do you owe anything else to the government? Then pay it. Do you owe respect? Then give it. Do you owe honor? Then show it.

Its called Sin . Moral turpitude is sin . If a Christian lies , fornicates , murders , he has sinned against God.

You told me you were a Christian this guy . Why did you lie ?

Your barking on the wrong tree.
I didn't ask for where the bible said humans should obey laws. I was simply raising a point that people don't obey laws because of God but rather because of the police and penalties associated with the crime.
Even the most religious place on earth has a police force.
Believing in God or belonging to a particular religion doesn't make us law abiding. The police and law does.

Just like the united states Constitution was founded on biblical laws.

I have answered your question . The bible exhorts us to be law abiding citizens - that means obeying the authority means obedience to God. But if the law is against God's commandments , it should not be obeyed . (Acts 5:27–42) . Example : If the law permits homosexuality , it does not mean you are permitted to engage in it . Or if the police tries to collect bribe , you should not condone such .

Again I'm not asking what God commanded. I'm simply saying without manmade laws and manmade enforcers. States would fall into anarchy. They would forget the laws of God or even his promised punishments.
Societies don't need God to be law abiding or even good as you like to claim.
We need laws

First of all. America's founding founders were secualrist, they believed in the separation of church and state. So no the American constitution was not founded on biblical laws.
Second what I'm driving at is that with out law enforcers like the police, even people that believed in God would not follow the law. It would lead to chaos.

Seperation of church and state came later far, far after Constitution was already established.

I am a christian that is beginning to have doubts and questions about christianity? It is beginning to seem fishy. Appreciation of my reasoning has helped me.

I have started noticing seeming flaws in what God says when he speaks to me or sometimes through his 'prophets', when I try to ask God questions concerning these or sometimes in cases where answers to my questions will settle a whole lot and erase confusion, he keeps quiet. This seems to me like 'running away.'

Telling me God doesn't speak where there is doubt is like telling me gnld guys don't stay where people are aware of there pranks.

I thought i already covered this somewhere?

Checking In on the US Founding Fathers
Many Christian commentators today claim that the United States is a Christian nation. The Founding Fathers would probably be shocked by this notion because they were plenty clear that it wasn’t anything of the sort. They’d seen what happened to Europe when religions insisted on their way 150 years of continuous war. Mother England herself had gone through a century of rolling heads as the Crown passed from Catholic to Protestant to Catholic to Protestant to Catholic to Protestant in little more than a century. You can see why there’d be very little interest in establishing a state religion in any way, shape, or form. When it came to religious identity, the founders themselves were quite a mixed bag. Among the signers of the US Constitution, for example, were
28 Anglicans
8 Presbyterians
7 Congregationalists
6 geesea laying
2 Dutch Reformed
2 Catholics
2 Methodists
2 Lutherans

Then it gets even more mixed. Thomas Paine was a non-Christian Deist, Franklin was a Christian Deist, and historian Gregg Frazer classifies Washington, Jefferson, and Madison as “theistic rationalists.” Maybe it wasn’t an interfaith summit, but it was a pretty diverse bunch religiously. So it makes sense that they founded a country where the freedom of religion was guaranteed, up front, in the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. That means it wasn’t a Christian nation, but a nation in which citizens would be absolutely free to believe as they wished.
The Constitution contains only one reference to religion and that was a specific ban on any religious requirement to hold office. God gets not a single mention in the whole Constitution. It’s the first time a nation was founded entirely on a social contract between humans without pretending God had signed off on it. This doesn’t make the document atheistic, and it doesn’t make the founders atheists. It just establishes a secular government, one that’s entirely neutral on questions of religion.

American citizens of all persuasions should be grateful that the founders didn’t push their own beliefs on the country. People today may all imagine their own worldview would come out the winner, but given the variety of the Founders’ actual beliefs, it would have been like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates you never know what you’re gonna get. It’s much better that they left the decisions to each individual.

Don't mind KingEbukasBlog, it takes an independent mind to formulate his own principles and live by it. Many people are not like that so they are taken by the hands like sheep by what ever means.

With or without laws or religion, man can be moral is he chooses to. Immorality too is by choice or nature.

Jesus has the power to make one Moral, righteous and upright.

A christian is someone who is Christlike, not one who goes to church everyday. Someone who has Christ and the holy spirit working in their life cannot commit fornication, murder etc because he is dead to sin.
