wunmi590: None for a while now. No point going to university for now. Waste of time and money. Use the money to become an entrepreneur. If tomorrow's climate change and favor education, with your wealth gained from your successful business, you can elect to study further if so desired. Even part-time anywhere in the world at your pace. Be wise. 2 Likes |

They are much opportunities for overseas pg degrees in Nigeria. How can they go and spend somuch studying MBA, Advertising etc. They are areas such as pg in engineering, medical sciences, physics, statistics, pharmaceuticals, conflict resolutions, survey and regional planning, manufacturing just to mention a few. Its better going out there to study what will add value to the economy. MBA is every where. Unical i know for two yrs were looking an MS.c holder in molecular biology and also physiotherapy to no avail but still Nigerians are crying of unemployment. WinningSun: Whats your point? Do you know how contracts work? You are a bag full of surprises. So if you want to execute a contract you ask them to pay you upfront? I would like to know institutions that operate like that, I would be so happy to do business with them. And do you know how many times strange fire guts businesses down in Nigeria? because no be your money its just another news...or how many times people fail to honor contracts..you think it comes with no cost abi nah your useless police or corrupt court that takes forever to attend to issues? 4 Likes |

WinningSun: LOL...whats a contract? If i pay you to supply me some commodities and you dont what have you done? How do I recover my money or get you to be punished for the inconveniences you have cost me and so that people dont act like this in future? Contract is a recuring decima in every business equation. Its not only when you construct roads for Fg or build big projects. 1 Like |

BusinessAnalyst:My friend, those schools you listed there, an average or even many rich Nigerians can't afford it, Nigerians that go there are mostly children of billionaires and elites. They wouldn't even consider coming to Nigeria to search for job,why should they when to graduate from an IVY league school is considered a very huge achievement even abroad they are seen as demigods, they can't afford to pay them, most are retained there by multinationals or manage family business. My cousin attended a world top 100 university (university of abertay), finished with distinction but still couldn't get a job( he read chemical engineering), he's in the US now, fully employed. To correct you, no university in Nigeria is close to being on par with Birmingham, light years ahead, we can't even compete with north African and south African universities. poor funding, old and archaic syllabus and embarrassingly low rankings. 2 Likes |
