OM is a better option for Mikel, regardless of how much the Chinese teams are being offered, especially if OM is willing to pay him €350,000. That's no peanut!

Mikel is too important to the current Super Eagles set up and too young to move to a backwater league like the Chinese league. Money is not everything.

I hope this goes through. Marseille is top club in France, fantastic stadium and the city is also very beautiful, warm and friendly, unlike the rainy London.


I just hope he is giving the freedom of movement in the Marseille midfield, just as he plays for Nigeria, his most effective position.

I don't think Mikel has ever been denied freedom just look at other defensive midfielders who played before and after his time in Chelsea e.g. Makelele, Essien, Matic, Ramirez, amongst others and you'll see that Mikel has been his own problem. Mikel has not tried to impose himself in games until recent times
