Olamide: The YBNL boss had a fulfilled year this 2016. His music was recognized internationally despite doing music in his local dialect, Yoruba as he was nominated at the EMAs. That has earned him a nomination as the Kingston Dome Nigerian Personality of the year.

Twyse Ereme: He displaced Craze clown this year as the King of Nigerian Insta comedy as Craze clown was more busy with stand up comedy. He is loved by many as he plays many characters such as Sade, Tobi, Daddy Tobi, Mummy Tobi and Taofeek. He currently resides at London and his "Twyse and Family" has become a hit.

Mark Angel and Emmanuella: The comic duo would surely call 2016 their year of bliss as their comic videos made them to go places most especially Emmanuella who rose to stardom.

Wizkid: Starboy Wizkid made a huge impact on the Nigerian Music industry globally as his collaboration with Drake made the impossible possible as it topped the charts in more than 20 countries including the US, Colombia and some countries in Europe and South America. The "One Dance" gave Drake more than 900 million streams on Spotify. He was nominated and win different awards internationally. This year Wizkid was involved in controversies including his spat with Linda Ikeji, a woman named Binta Diallo who clamied to be his 2nd Baby mama, being stripped of an international award and so on. But through all this his work was recognised by various US personalities including Taraji P Henson and Alica Keys. This year he truly showed his was a Starboy

Tiwa Savage: Tiwatope Savage who is the Mavins First lady made it big with her deal with Roc Nation. She signed it earlier this year. Tiwa Savage bounced back after a year hiatus from the music scene so as to take care of her baby "Jam Jam". Also, sadly her marriage crashed but rumors have it that Tiwa might become a proud Mrs again.

President Muhammadu Buhari: Believe it or not Buhari's personality was recognized to the very ends of Nigeria. Due to both Negative and Positive reasons. President Muhammadu Buhari became more famous due to the recession ravaging the nation but his administration has blamed it on the past and immediate government. Also, he generated a lot of heat on the internet when he said his wife belongs to his "living room, the other room and the kitchen room". He has been nominated due to the fact that he became quite a very popular personality in 2016.

Bobrisky: He has been nicknamed the African male Barbie. If you call him the King of Bleaching in Nigeria you are not far from the truth. He earned his popularity due to the light colour of his skin which was a result of his too much bleaching but became a very popular person in 2016.

Falz: Falz tha bahd guy shut down the Nigerian Entertainment industry with his music, acting and comic skills. His music even earned him an award at the BET Awards earlier this year. His role in hit series "Jenifa's Diary" made his presence in the Nollywood to be strong as he even won an AMVCA for it. Surely, Falz was blessed this 2016.

Chidinma Okeke: The former Miss Anambra shutdown the whole internet with her leaked s3x tape which involved her using a cucumber with an unknown girl in the leaked video. It was such an embarrassment to the beauty queen but she became quite the famous person as top pornogr@phy website, Xvideos approached her.

Linda Ikeji: She became the talk of the town this year when she bought a mansion in Banana Island worth 500 million naira. She was also in the news for her spat with Wizkid with generated a lot of publicity which she truly enjoyed as in her area of business, publicity is the golden key. She also recorded a major success as she launched a social media website named Linda Ikeji Social. She said with that website her only competition is Facebook. She recently bought a 80 million Autobiography Range Rover to crown her efforts. Surely she was one personality Nigerians would never forget in a hurry!!!!
