Going through your questions, it's crystal clear you're one of those sympathisers who saw the freezing as a way to mock and have something to post here! Some of you guys saw your friends hitting it big through MMM and out of jealousy the freezing brought about your joy. I wonder if you will turned down a cash gift from your friend or siblings! And if you do not, did you actually worked for the cash? Only if you guys can channel this mockery post towards our polithiefians, Nigeria might be better!

Though i never did mmm and never advised anyone to, but most of the aspersions you people cast on the scheme are either unfair or false. As well as i understood the scheme, it is purely mutual aid and the originator had nothing to gain except traffic on the website. If you don't have enough courage to pay your money into a stranger's bank account, leave those who do, alone.

MMM is not a fraud. It's just a scheme I'd 'personally' not want to go into. Same way, whoever is 'personally' willing to go into it, should be free.

Who knows if the scheme will eventually return in January. Then, you haters will be put to shame.
The thing is, Sergei doesn't only drive traffic to his site bro, look at it this way...when the scheme started and needed people to provide help, who did you think the money was paid to?(I mean the very first payment made).

That is one, secondly, as people provide help and get help, MMM agents can at any time decide that "ok, today we need #500,000" and they will get into the system as participants and request certain people to provide help to someone(who is obviously an MMM agent) and when they payment is done, they will quietly walk out of the system from their on end and request another set of participants to provide help to those set of people who provided the help of #500,000, and this is very possible so long as people who wish to provide help surpass people wish to get help. It's that simple!

So where does the 30% come from & who pays the 30% of the final person to invest in dat scheme.

what makes you think the so called philanthropist Mr Mavrodi does not have his guys posting as normal people looking for help while you pay into them account.

Every Nigerians who joined the MMM knew deep down they were risking their money in the first place. Finance houses and the Apex bank kicked against it, the official website was not promising (which was obvious) and the concept of the scheme of collecting money (say 100k) from person A, and using the 100k and 30k of persons B and C respectively to return to person A for the 30% return (while Persons B and C will need to rely on more people to pay up what they parted with plus 30% return), does not make any investment sense at all, pardon me because am talking from an Investment banker's point of view. But i can understand the gullible Nigerians at this state of the economy to be easily convinced into the scheme. Had they read deeper, they would have known better. the originator is a talented fraudster and trust that he keeps making a lot of money every country he went to set up this scheme. So camouflaged, you will never be worried since the scheme also matches people together to earn money and thus promoting the good news of a working ponzy scheme. My advise is that we have professionals in every field and works of life and they are not there for decorations but to seek their expertise before making silly mistakes. I see things like this almost every other day, someone works up to you and says "drink this for man-power, drink that for pile" when he is not a qualified medical doctor or a renounced practitioner in the field. this is why you must seek a doctor, or a lawyer who does the profession as a career. This will save us a lot of stress. Am fully aware that even some professionals dived into the schemes, but i have made my understanding clear. My advise is to learn from this and be smarter next time. #pen dropped

Your assertion is very wrong bros. I, for example, was offered significant amount to invest into MMM by a brother but I declined. Not everybody will sell their close friends into slavery for 30%. In my calculation MMM robs 5 Peter to pay 3 Paul. It is just a matter of when all the peters will be exhausted financially . . .
Re: 10 Questions For MMM Subscribers (Mavrodians) by Martartins(m): 5:30pm On Dec 23, 2016
maclatunji:
The following are my questions to the subscribers to MMM popularly called Mavrodians.

1. Where do you think the money you are collecting through MMM is coming from?

MMM claims not to be a business and not an investment, so where do you think the 30% return which excites you so much is coming from?

2. Do you know what a Ponzi scheme is?

I have to ask this question because of those who defend MMM with the claim that they have made money from it. To be the clear, a minority will make money from Ponzi schemes being the early adopters that help to create the exponential growth. However, the latter subscribers are the ones that lose greatly. If you understand this, you will not present this argument as evidence for MMM not being a fraud.

3. Where did you get the money you invested in MMM from?

You could not use that money in any legitimate business?

I ask this question because many MMM subscribers behave as if they were incapable of earning money before MMM came.

4. Is it that you don’t understand that governments across the world are duty-bound not to allow a Ponzi scheme started by an ex-convict that has scammed people across the world operate freely within their countries?

This one is self-explanatory, Sergey Mavrodi the main brain behind MMM is an ex-convict. He got convicted for scamming Russians with a precursor scheme to MMM.

5. Explain how MMM is a revolutionary idea that commercial banking should be afraid of?

MMM subcribers are quick to tag banks as stealing from their customers while MMM is the solution for the masses. Curiously enough, they pay into each other’s bank accounts; curious to say the least.

6. Do you understand that wealth is created based on the value you create not through this system operated by a few people to rob people of their money while leaving them in the lurch?

Let us say all of us joined MMM, where would productive output come from?

7. Did you anticipate that your ‘investment’ (sorry, your ‘Mavros’) could be frozen without you having any say on what happens next?

I am sure many ‘Mavrodians’ did not expect this December debacle, but we are here.

8. Do you agree that as a promoter of the scheme, you are quite dubious because you are seeking to reap bountifully at the expense of others when the scheme crashes?

Note I wrote ‘when’ not ‘if’

9. Do you not worry that you could have a hand in the death or grievous harm happening to people who could lose money from MMM and become suicidal?

We already have reports of some people taking poison because their money got frozen this December.

10. Do you understand that you are effectively using time that you could use for productive activity to promote a questionable scheme at best?

If you understand that time lost is irrecoverable, why waste it?

Your answers and feedback are quite welcome.

The simple answer to your questions are; EVERYBODY KNOWS MMM IS BACKED BY GOOGLE, WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IT OR NOT , IT DOESNT MATTER. THE 30% COULD HAVE BEEN GOTTEN FROM A WHOLE LOT OF SOURCES ON MMM, BUT YOU WONT KNOW BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT IN THE SYSTEM.

YOU TALKED ABOUT PONZI SCHEME WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE FACT THAT PONZI SCHEMES NEED NEW ENTRANTS TO SUCCEED, MMM DOESNT.

BANKS WILL ALWAYS SERVE THEIR PURPOSE BECAUSE MMM DOESNT USE A CENTRAL ACCOUNT LIKE MOST PONZI SCHEMES.

PROVIDED THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE PH AND GH ON MMM, THE SYSTEM WILL BE FINE. IT IS PEOPLE LIKE YOU RATHER THAT BAD-MOUTH THE SYSTEM.

TO BE FRANK I THINK YOU HAVENT DONE YOUR RESEARCH ON MMM BEFORE WRITING THIS. I SAY THIS BECAUSE, AM IN THE SYSTEM

MMM WILL CRASH DEFINITATLY BUT IT WILL ONLY BE BECAUSE IT WIL PUT BANKS INTO DISTRESS. SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY WHILE IT LAST.

umm correct one, these mmm fanatics dont just get the fact that once a system has no value or actual product to offer, it dies off eventually.
i looked up the founder of ultimate cycler and what i saw proved the afore mentioned points.

Peter Wolfing first launched the Ultimate Cycler in 2014, it crashed after a while. Then he launched other schemes:
- Turbo Cycler
- Business Toolbox
- Infinity 100
- National Wealth Center
- Pay Me Forward
- Easy 1Up
All of which have crashed, leading to huge loss of money. So all the schemes have been like this:
- No retail products or services.
- Making member to member payments.
- Once the scheme dies off, so will the payments and pass ups.

It looks like Wolfing put himself at the top of each scheme so once this company goes under like all the other ones he launched, he will just take the money and start another one.

Re: 10 Questions For MMM Subscribers (Mavrodians) by Nobody: 5:42pm On Dec 23, 2016
You know something, reading the response of the MMM supporters to the OP's questions has once again shown that MMM is a typical Ponzi scam (not even scheme, scam).

The OP has asked ten pertinent questions. And I expect the MMM supporters and guiders to answer him point by point. Who knows, they may even convince skeptics like me.But no, all we get are abuse and insults.

Reminds me of another thread on Biafra in this site, where a SS minority member asked about how Biafra would treat minorities. With the exception of one Biafran supporter, who gave good and reasonable answers...not that I agreed with all of them, but the guy was so on point,...many if not most Biafranists abused and called him all sorts of names, including some who even accused him of being an impostor. I doubt they convinced anyone of the validity of their struggle that day.

The problem I have with Nairaland is that for the most part, people cannot hold a honest civilized discussion here. And this is particularly true in the Politics, Crime and in MMM threads recently. All we get are insults, abuse, tribal name calling, etc. If Nigerians cannot hold a proper discussion, where points are raised and debated properly, then how are we going to progress as a nation, or even as separate entities. People like to call us black men intellectually deficient. I know it is not true. But some of the Nairaland posts and posters here do a lot to validate the intellectually deficient theory.

I am a MMM skeptic. And what I have seen here tonight has done little to change my skepticism. MMM defenders, answer the points raised, and who knows, I may sign up come January. And I probably won't be the only one. Continue the insults and jokes...and we will laugh at you thoroughly and without sympathy come January.

Check the attached picture.

My question to the Op is, does this look like a scheme that is interested in running away with people's money? Does MMM even have people's money?

So, why are people attempting suicide because their accounts got frozen?

1.If MMM does not need new entrants, where does the 30% come from then? The sky?

2.How many people will be needed to PH and GH the system sustainably? Over time?

3.MMM is more of a pyramid scheme....

A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products or services. As recruiting multiplies, recruiting becomes quickly impossible, and most members are unable to profit; as such, pyramid schemes are unsustainable and often illegal.

Isn't that how MMM works?

4.When the system crashes, a lot of innocent people will suffer.

5.Banks do not earn money just from depositors.
