Celebrating Christmas, Does It Matter Or Not? by Nobody: 7:41am On Dec 24, 2016 |
The word Christmas was gotten from " Christ's Mass" a feast done on the eve of December 25 in Roman Catholics. History has it that this feast was brought in by Roman-Pagans(from Persians to Roman). Christmas is driven by commercialism, it is no where mentioned in the Bible. Christmas holiday is largely a recycled Pagan Celebration. The reasons why you should not celebrate the feast "Christmas" but rather acknowledge that Christ was born into this world to fulfill the prophets and save us from eternal death. The things you should know before celebrating Christmas are as follows: 1. Christ neither observed Christmas nor taught others to observe it. Christmas contradicts the biblical facts. Read Luke 2:1-8. 2. Christ didn't approve of Christmas. Read Mark 7:7. John 10:35. Deuteronomy 12:29-32. Compare Daniel 7:25 with Leviticus 23; Matthew 5:17-19. 3. Christ wasn't born on or near December 25. Read Luke 2:8; 1-4. 4. God condemns using Pagan customs to worship him. Read Deuteronomy 12:30-32. 2Corinthians 6:14-18; 7:1. 5. Christmas is worshipping God in vain. Read Mark 7:6-9. 6. The Bible no where tells us to observe a holiday celebrating Christ's birth but it clearly does tell us to commemorate His death. Read 1Corinthians 11:23-28. Matthew 26:18-19. Mark 14:14-16. Luke 22:8-13,15. 7. The Apostles of Christ observed other feasts except that of His Birth(Christmas). Read 1Corinthians 11:23-26; 5:7-8. Acts 20:6,16; 2:1; 27:9. John 7:2,10. Some persons may ask if keeping Christmas as a feast or holiday(holy day) matters or not? Yes it does, because man can't put Christ back into something He never approved or observed.
