Is President Buhari A Coward? by Chizgold: 8:51am On Dec 26, 2016 |
Yes, he was a General in the Nigerian Army. It may also be true that he was part of the Nigerian soldiers that fought during the Civil war. But what there is no record of, is an account of his bravery at any point in time. Was he just a fill-the-ranks soldier, whom benefactors helped propel to the top? Those are just questions that may not have answers. But it is good to just let them roll through our minds. One question that has however refused to go away is; “Is President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria a coward?” It is a big ask, but three incidences seem to offer an answer to this question. 1.Ogoni Clean-Up And The Threat Of The Niger Delta Avengers: The much touted Ogoni Clean-up was supposed to be a key statement of the determination of Buhari’s government to address a lot of issues that Nigerians have been clamouring for. As an environmental issue with huge international significance, its flag off was expected to be a key achievement of the administration, and the President himself was pencilled down as the man to carry out the flag off. Then the dreaded Niger Delta Avengers issued their threat that if the President dared set foot on Niger Delta soil, he would be killed. A few hours to the time he was supposed to land at the Port Harcourt International Airport, the news came that the President would not be coming! Was he scared of the Avengers? 2.South East Economic Summit, And The Indigenous People Of Biafra Threat: President Buhari’s administration inherited an economy largely dependent on oil. With dwindling oil prices and the activities of Niger Delta militants affecting revenue from oil, the government decided that diversifying the economy was the best step to take. A key ally in developing an economy that is strong in manufacturing, is the much maligned South East of Nigeria. So the economic summit convened by the people of the region was expected to help in revitalising a wobbling economy. The President was pencilled down as the Chief Guest of Honour, and he expressed his desire to come. A few days to the Summit, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a statement warning him that if he comes to the region, he and other conniving South East leaders will be killed. Even as the Summit began, the conveners were still waiting for Mr. President, but he was a no show. Scared much? 3.Inability to Deal With Corrupt Members of His Administration: It is no longer news that key members of the Buhari administration such as Abba Kyari (his Chief of Staff); David Babachir Lawal (Secretary to the Government of the Federation); Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi(Minister of Transportation) have all been fingered in huge corruption deals. Yet a president who hinged his administration on anti-corruption has not summoned the courage to deal with the corrupt members of his own inner house! Abba Kyari, Babchir Lawal, and Rotimi Amaechi are very powerful people. Is Mr. President so scared of them that he cannot.... Credit: http://ikengachronicles.com/is-president-buhari-a-coward/

The truth is that during the war the man was busy just looking for intelligent 9years igbo damsels to bed. Two things that have made him famous are (1) the coup and eventual head of state status (2) that sharia speech. Let me explain after ibb sacked him, the fell into the oblivion and became obscure that the only time he is remembered is anytime former nigerian leaders are listed in chronology eg. You never heard buhari did so and so until democracy returned to nig. That leads to the next point (the sharia speech) it was after that speech that the man acquired his famous cult followership not that they saw him as a nationalist but the one to grant them the much desired sharia law. Which boko has been propagating. Recall that they did mention him as a negotiator now he is there and implementing the game no need to continue. Ask (1) why no more shekau video insulting nig president as time of gej (2) how sambisa cleared with no confrontation, casualties and picture of shekau posing with nigeria flag |

If there is a more degrading word to coward, i think Buhari deserves it. He is the biggest of all cowards in his generation. MALU |
