accounting is a major course with honourary B.sc degree Certificate.
Accounting education is also a honourary course with B.ed degree certificate
The formal is competitive while the latter is less competitive.

Both are competitive and the latter is stressful, especially when it comes to teaching practise and it depends on the school too.

Students see education as a course for less fortunate and prefer the former. The school increases the cut off because not everyone likes to end up as a teacher. After the admission, the former does lesser unit courses while the latter does higher. Tp is interesting once you make up your mind to enjoy it.

OP If your goal is to be an accountant, go for accounting, there is too much discrimination in the job market.

.Your proficiency & professional qualities count more
