In retrospect, I'd have done things a little differently but I don't regret the love the priest n I share. He's lighted up my life and haven't known happiness like this before we met.

I understand your take on this, and quite frankly, if the tables were turned, I'd be saying the exact thing you just said. But love happens! I know I'm a very smart young lady - bookwise and streetwise but like I said, love happens! We can't always pick the people we fall in love with now, can we? The priest is just a man like any other man and being a priest is just a job he does. If you only knew how deeply we care for each other, you wouldn't be so quick to pass judgment.

The young priests are gradually wrestling the catholic church away from the old ones. The difference between them and us is there are not officially allowed to get married. I'm speaking from an informed position as a former alter boy; they drink, womanize, smoke, quarrel, envy and all you can think of!

this is something i can't really know how to put it, priests don't get married if i am right. but you are enjoying the fun of being with him, babe this is risky and heart break, for the priest to tell you to continue the engagement, that means he is not planning to you. think wise babe. i don't want you to make a life mistake. for me, i will say you should continue with the engagement, you will get to find out later that the priest is after the fun of everything. good luck

I know this thread is somewhat outdated but just an advice for anyone who might come across this in recent times,

I think this poster is just trying to tarnish the image of the catholic church with this misguided/disguised post,what on earth would a born full catholic be doing in the arms of a priest knowing fully well the implications of such an action.

For the benefit of doubt if this case were true, I would think this is a satanic influence and that's why the poster finds it difficult to cut loose from it. I advice you go for confession and pray for the demonic spirit holding you bound, to cease its torment from hencefort and depart without return.
