Compliments of the season to you all for the wonderful works you are doing in updating and educating Nigerians.

Please I would like to bring to your attention the embarrasing activities of the PHCN officials in Ijeshatedo undertaking, Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos.

Some parts of Ijeshatedo axis in Surulere has been without light throughout the months of October and November 2016 till second week in December 2016.

It was really unfortunate as these officials came to disconnect peoples light after given residents bills for the light they didnt use/enjoy for over 2 months.

As expected, residents of Adeshina, Omilani, Aguntasolo(East), Kayode Olowu, Olakunle, Omonubi and Adedoyin streets within Ijeshatedo area of Surulere resisted the PHCN officials plans to disconnect residents wires for non-payment of the light they didnt use for 2 months.

We dont know how on earth PHCN officials expected residents to pay for electricity supply that was not available for over 2 months.

After this resistant by the residents of these streets, PHCN officials came and removed the fuse of the transformer that supplies electricity to these streets. This has thrown the whole streets into total darkness from the 2nd week of December 2016 till date.

These officials vow not to restore the light (bring back the transformer's fuse) until the bills of the 2 months they didnt use are paid or they are offered bribe.

These officials have been requesting for bribes from residents before they could restore the light.

These streets have been in total darkness and this has exposed the streets to security threat as armed robbers buggle shops on a daily basis within this environment.

These pictures are for the transformer(located at Aguntasolo street junction, along Omilani street), Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos) that its fuse was removed by PHCN officials.

These PHCN officials go about with touts and sacked/disengaged staff to disconnect people's light.

We will like you to share this post on your blog as it has been sent to all media houses and EKEDC Headquarters in Marina, Lagos.

Thank you.

After series of engagement with the Ijeshatedo Undertaking officials, they brought and fixed on Monday January 9 the fuses that were removed. Unfortunately these unwanted officials came back on THURSDAY January 12 to disconnect people's light. The residents resisted because they only had light for approximately 6 hours since this was restored on January 9. It was amazing to the residents when these officials went to bribe RRS police men to protect them to disconnect peoples light. They actually came with 6 heavily- armed RRS police officers , climbed the pole that supplies 11kva power to several streets in Ijeshatedo and removed the entire wire.

It is unfortunate that these people could behave like animals in collaboration with police officers, not minding several residents with prepaid meters.

Thank you.
