Hello Nairalanders, and Happy New Year.

I've been trying to install the forum software, phpbb on my bluehost hosting account with little luck till date. I'd hoped to fully kick-start the forum before New Year, but here I am.


The software is uploaded already, configuration on the install page online is the issue. it's returning error message after inputting MySQL database name, username and password.


Please, before anyone see the merit in schooling me on how Google is a friend, I'd been there, now I am here.

Error message at Database setting: Could not connect to the database, see error message below. Access denied for user '*username*' @'box355.blue host.com' (using password: YES)

There is this other issue of needing a MySQL client like Navicat, phpMyAdmin, Workbench, etc installed to connect from home computer: https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/89

I have tried installing workbench, but not successful.
