"Who's the Boss?" 10 approaches to start taking control and how to improve interpersonal skills (time management techniques, goal setting techniques, record tracking)

At first glance, it seems apparent that positive thinking and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) do not have anything to do with the other. But many of us with ADD develop negative thinking patterns because we become annoyed by our challenges and constant feelings to be overwhelmed. This negative outlook then causes it to become even tougher for us to deal with those problems and advance.

Practising positive thinking permits people with ADD to concentrate on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases happiness and motivation. This, subsequently, allows us to spend more time making progress, and much less time feeling down and stuck. The following !0 tips provide practical suggestions that can be used to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns:

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
It's easier to be positive when you're eating well, exercising, and having enough rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For
Stresses and challenges don't appear quite as bad when you're constantly reminding yourself of the items are directly in life. Taking just one minute a day to quit and appreciate the nice things can make a huge difference.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Making Assumptions
A nervous about not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to believe that we know what other medication is thinking, but our fears usually are not reality. If you have a fear that your friend or family member's negative mood is due to something you probably did, or that the co-workers are secretly gossiping about yourself when you turn your back, speak up and get them. Don't spend your time worrying that learn about something wrong until you have proof that there are something to think about.

4. Refrain from Using Absolutes
Have you ever told an associate "You're ALWAYS late!" or complained to a friend "You NEVER call me!"? Thinking and speaking in absolutes like 'always' and 'never' helps make the situation seem worse compared to, and programs your head into believing that particular people are not capable of delivering.

5. Detach From Negative Thoughts
Your thoughts can't hold any handle of you if you can't judge them. If you notice yourself using a negative thought, detach from that, witness it, and never follow it.
