Human nature is such that he always wants to compare things, discussing even the minute differences, trying to find the best in every category. This urge for comparison has spilled over into the world of football too, and you will always find a ‘Cule’ and a ‘Madridista’ bickering over the eternally controversial topic of Messi versus Ronaldo; but this isn’t the only perpetual discussions that football fans debate over. Just the other day, I ran into an old friend, and he asked me who I felt the most lethal striker was. I was slightly taken aback by this question, because most there really is no correct answer to it.

I could have said Suarez, Aguero, Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Diego Costa, Muller, Zlatan, Kane etc, and any of these answers would have been easily justifiable; but, I am always up for a challenge, and so I gave him an answer that he probably wouldn’t hear elsewhere. I told him that the most lethal striker in football currently is a man called Dirk-Jan Klaas Huntelaar, better known as Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Who is he, you ask?
