I have argued in various threads in support of the PDP especially when people make the empty rhetoric don't vote PDP without telling us the values, ethics, policies,  of other political that make them votable.

I have made this argument not necessarily in support of PDP but rather in support of the need for our people to recognise what we need politically and the fact that we need an total overhaul of our appreciation of politics and our political psyche as a nation.

Once again a statement which shows our lack of appreciation of democracy is Rufai Alkali's statement that there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock come 2011.
Well going by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. There will be vacancy by default in Aso Rock after which it will be up to Nigerians to elect whoever that leader will be. President Yar'adua is allowed to have another shut by the constitution to contest the 2011 but that is not to mean there is no vacancy.

If there is no vacancy then there will be no elections in 2011, except Rufai Alkali is already predicting that the elections will be  a charade and that Yar'adua will continue in office one way or the other.

Rufai Alkali owes our country a total withdrawal of his comments and an unreserved appology.
