• Genus: Vaccinium

• Sub genus: Oxycoccos

• Scientific name: Vaccinium macrocarpon

• Description: [/b]The fruit is small, round and red in colour. Each berry has four centrally situated tiny seed enclosed inside the capsules.

[b]• Vitamins
: Vitamin C, Vitamin A , Lutein, Zea-xanthin, folate.

• Minerals: Calcium, Manganese, Copper, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Iron, Selenium, Zinc.

Calcium: It is an essential mineral for healthy bones, gums and teeth.

Manganese: an active component of the enzyme manganese superoxide dismutase, is necessary for the proper functioning of enzymes, absorption of nutrients, wound healing, and development of bones in the body. The deficiency of manganese can cause joint pains, poor bone health , and fertility problems.

Copper: helps with the formation of collagen, increases the absorption of iron and plays a role in energy production.

Phosphorus: It works in association with calcium to create strong bones, which can withstand the normal wear and tear of human life. It also helps in boosting the health of your gums and tooth enamel.

Magnesium: helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis.

Furthermore, these compounds helps the human body lower LDL cholesterol levels and increase the HDL good cholesterol level in the blood.
