If they had even used "Stealed" it would have even be better.
The grammatical error is so obvious. Even stealed wouldn't be any way better.

A couple are currently being shamed on social media for rocking customized shirts with wrong grammatical expressions.

The shirt designer used the non-existent word ‘stoled’ in place of the word ‘stole’.

On the shirt of the man carried the inscription ‘I stoled your heart’ while that of the lady had ‘I stoled your surname’.

Social media commenters wonder how the mistake eluded the couple, photographer, on-lookers and even friends and family members close to them.

the designer could have used retarder to remove the D, it's either the designer used paint or the wordings re those of the couple... Either way stupid design!

There is a look uneducated people put on,that is what has been displayed by the duo. I won't join people in casting aspersions on them. How can you steal ones surname even when you have not been joined together?

It is surprising how people jump to conclusions. Yes, it may be a grammatical error but, I always try to give the benefit of doubt in every situation.

Am I the only one who noticed the word "stoled" is blocked & boldened while the others are in italics and not boldened? Perhaps something did happen the day they first met and the word "stoled" was used instead of stole hence their request for it that way that is why it was made to stand out in both sentences.

Think of it logically, the sentences used for such photoshoot always have two words standing out ("heart" and "surname"wink not the word" stole".
