President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by kuramo: 3:44pm On Nov 24, 2009
The Sickly Nigerian President Yar' Adua is off to Saudi-Arabia yet again barely 8 weeks after his last trip to the same country for urgent management of his deadly disease ''  Churg Strauss Syndrome '' .

This latest trip was hurriedly arranged and the announcement was made whilst the sick President was already airborne.

It is a real disgrace that our President constantly has to fly to Saudi-Arabia  for acute medical treatment, this is an embarrassing indictment of his own health policy which is grossly inadequate.

The Presidency prefers to waste Nigeria's tax dollars in Saudi hospitals for his own health benefits when millions of its citizens are resigned to a very poor healthcare system which the Government has chosen to ignore.

So? He shouldnt go for medical check up?

What the hell are you talking about? So he is the one that made the helth policy as it is presently?

Surely, you don't deserve any response from me given your unintelligent question.

Your own thread is as dumb as your butt hole which reeks of rotten egg placed inside palm oil and mixed with rotten maggi.

Cant Mr. Yar'Adua resign to fully take care of his ill health? I wonder when Nigeria will catch up with the world in terms of civility. It is very clear that the man is managing to live and he is combining it with the stress of being a serving President. Good luck to him!

@ Paroh frey,    Seems you are a relative, friend or from the same place,   I can understand your anger if you are.
But really, isn't this hospital visit one-too-many? Nigeria doesn't need a Sick president,  It needs a Strong and always mentally strong person. I don't mind the ethnicity he is, e just has to be strong and healthy.

he needs to go take care of himself,  It's better to be alive and be in the roll-call of past living presidents of our great nation than be in the list of those who died as president (this time without being Assassinated!)

and if he lives beyond what you wish for him? are you God?
Re: President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by toytop(m): 6:17pm On Nov 24, 2009
Definitely, I will be happy for him, but if it was you, would you prefer to keep slowing down your country's progress with Hospital visits?

the deal is why can't he consult the same health system the rest of Nigerians are subjected to? The answer to that is rather obvious: it's in a bad state. This is one more reason why he needs implement a plan to fix our comatose health sector, so he, like the rest of us citizens, would be able to receive good treatment in Nigeria.

We dont want him to die but he can resign and relocate to Saudi Arabia were his doctors wld be at his beck and call. His health shld be more important to him than ruling 9ja.

Na wa o! Instead of trying to resuscitate the health of our national economy, we r doing that to one man. Who is more important to us the Nation or this Man?

Shame on Nigeria.

Out of 150million people, this is best we can produce, no thanks to OBJ and millions of silent NIGERIANS

You know what, Nigeria gets what she deserves!

@ Op
Where is the source of this your news?
Paroh_frey:

So? He shouldnt go for medical check up?

No one says he shouldnt go for a medical check up. But we have thousands of Hospital in Nigeria where he can go for a check up. If those hospitals in Nigeria are not good for him, then he is a failure as the president of Nigeria.
I dont know when you have heard any responsible president going for medical check ups and treatment abroad.

Paroh_frey:

proof?
Which planet are you living in? Coz, i cant imagin a Nigerian, home or abroad asking for a proof that Nigeria is on a reverse gear since this lame and sickman took over office. I began to think, despite how bad OBJ was, he was more active than Yaradull.

No big deal in it, but i dont think you guys undersatdn what it mean to lead a country. A president of a nation is supposed to be 99% physical and mentally sound.  No one says he shouldnt go for treatment abroad, but he should resign and hand over the job to people who are sound. He can spend all his life in Suadi Arabia for treatment No body cares.

Re: President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by kuramo: 3:11pm On Nov 25, 2009
President Yar' Adua's condition known as Churg Strauss Syndrome appears to have poor prognosis, hence his constant visits to Saudi hospitals.

It is a rare diffuse vasculitic disease affecting the heart, lungs, brain, abdominal viscera and skin circulation and it usually presents as-

- hay fever and severe asthma, pneumonia, sinusitis.
- small and medium blood vessel vasculitis.
- skin purpura and nodules. itching and digital ischaemia.
- heart failure and myocardial infaction.
- malaise, weight loss, fatigue, muscle pain.
- gastro-intestinal vasculitis, bleeding and perforation.
- Kidneys : glomerulonephritis and advanced renal failure.

It's normally treated with high dose steroids and although prognosis is usually good, however when there is diffuse organ involvement like the kidneys, heart and brain, that suggests poor prognosis and can be fatal. The principal causes of death are myocardial infarction and myocarditis.

Oh, so we have a president who is partly Gone? lipsrsealed
Re: President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by kuramo: 11:55am On Nov 26, 2009
Here they go again.

In order to quell the rumours going round about President Yar' Adua's demise, the foolish Justice Minister Micheal Aondoakaa released a statement through his special assistant ( it's now become the norm in Nigeria for almost every Self Important Person: SIP's : to release statements through their so-called media consultants ) stating that the President is '' hale and hearty '', he also added that the President had merely gone to Saudi-Arabia for '' routine medical check up and a short vacation ''.

What a load of rubbish, this shows exactly why the rumours started in the first place. It's due to the fact that the Presidency ( Aso Rock ) cannot tell Nigerians the simple truth about Yar' Adua's health and his ability to properly govern the country.

The country deserves better and we need to know what's going on.
Re: President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by kuramo: 1:07pm On Nov 27, 2009
Now is the perfect opportunity for the lame duck President to resign on health grounds, however the problem this presents is the thought of Vice - President Jonathan Goodluck becoming President by default.

Which is the better of the two evils, i'm not sure.

It's still amazing that Aso Rock still cannot tell the whole nation that the President suffers from Churg Strauss Syndrome which is the cause of his recurrent kidney problems and the present myocardial infarction ( chest pain ) and myocarditis - the pericarditis his doctors have now confirmed.

The fact is that prognosis is not good now that his condition has progressed into peri-carditis. His doctors should advise him to concentrate on his health and resign his hectic and difficult job as President.

angry It's Annoying how a specific group of people can just hold an entire country to ransom. The Sickly Mr. President Refuse to resign, Some People are just so head strong!
Re: President Yar' Adua in Saudi-arabia Again ( update ) by kuramo: 8:22pm On Nov 28, 2009
Umaru,

It's now become clear that Turai does not care about what you are going through, her only concern is the power, money and influence she stands to lose once you  are no longer the President.

I hope you can see through her evil desires and resign the Presidency, you deserve to live the rest of your life in peace by taking control of your health .

It is the only logical option you have.  Do the right thing for your country.
